Memorable, crazy movie

If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.

This story has more twists and turns than a second-rate soap opera.

The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

That's Abhinav Kashyap's contribution to a film that could have easily just remained a competent actioner. Instead he takes it a notch higher, making Chulbul a character worth remembering, who wears dark glasses because he wants to hide the fact that his eyes occasionally well up with tears and who almost pukes before calling his much hated stepfather "papa". There's a freshness in the idiom which comes from an utter lack of self consciousness. This is not Deepika Padukone and Neil Nitin Mukesh trying to be Marathi chawl kids. This is the real stuff, or as real as Salman can make his acting--it's as if he is winking at the audience all along, saying catch me if you can.

Dabangg-A film by Anurag Kashyap is a family film as like all other movies of Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan. It's the debut one by famous actor Shatrughan Sinha's daughter Sonakshi Sinha. It's a movie full of Indian styled entertainment consisting drama, romance, action and comedy. A movie that you can enjoy with all your family members as no vulgarity or nudity shown in it. Also, a different styled movie by Salman Khan as he never performed as a police officer except the last part of his last movie "Wanted". He performed as a cool but a tough guy too. Dialogues used in this movie are very interesting. Comedy actions by Salman Khan are very funny. Actions are also thrilling one. Songs like "Munni Badnam Hui" and "Naino Main" are really unique one and interesting too. I think one must watch this movie enjoy this cool creation of Anurag Kashyap.

Hey Guys , I agree with the review "Snobs" . I feel that expecting an entertainment pot boiler to be a David Lynch's master piece is exactly what's bringing out the snobbery of the viewers who gave a low rating to this movie. A humble request , please go back to watching National Geographic or the History channel for your "realism " and please stop "brown nosing" Hollywood flicks, even your great Master film maker like Steven Spielberg has made cringe worthy movies like the last Indiana Jones , where Monkeys and Shia Lebouf are performing cartoon antics . In comparison Dabangg is a no nonsense film from a no nonsense action star/ actor Mr Salman Khan . Why don't you haters stick to your altar and continue your worship of "every thing - foreign- must -be -good" temple and leave movies like Dabangg for the rest of us to enjoy it purely for entertainment's sake . Hats off to Mr Khan and we request more sequels and prequels please . Thanks for entertaining us . I wish you all the very best Mr Salman Khan.
