It's funny watching the elements come together in this complicated scam. On one hand, the set-up isn't quite as complex as it seems, but there's an easy sense of fun in every exchange.

It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

That's Abhinav Kashyap's contribution to a film that could have easily just remained a competent action. Instead he takes it a notch higher, making talkative a character worth remembering, who wears dark glasses because he wants to hide the fact that his eyes occasionally well up with tears and who almost pukes before calling his much hated stepfather "papa". There's a freshness in the idiom which comes from an utter lack of self consciousness. This is not Deepika Padukone and Neil Nitin Mukesh trying to be Marathi chawl kids. This is the real stuff, or as real as Salman can make his acting--it's as if he is winking at the audience all along, saying catch me if you can.

Dabangg is a 2010 Indian action film directed by Abhinav Kashyap, and produced by Arbaaz Khan under Arbaaz Khan Productions. Arbaaz's elder brother Salman Khan stars in the lead role, with Sonakshi Sinha (in her acting debut), Arbaaz Khan, Om Puri, Dimple Kapadia, Vinod Khanna, Anupam Kher, Mahesh Manjrekar and Mahie Gill featuring in supporting roles, while Sonu Sood plays the main antagonist. The film marks the debut of Arbaaz as a producer and Kashyap as a director. Malaika Arora Khan appears in the item number "Munni Badnaam Hui". Salman is way too bigger than movies he acts in. It's always about Salman in his movies. He loves to play almost himself and adds his superstar persona in every role he does and people love it and only he can dare it. The only true star of Bollywood, rest others are moons, they need good story, good producer and blah blah blah. If you are expecting drama dose with some character artists working in preachy subject or based on a true story or inspired by some popular book, watch something else. This is strictly Bollywood entertainment and the king is entertainment is at his best.Salman is a corrupt but golden-hear ted police officer in a small town of U.P. He dotes on his mother (Dimple) but hates his stepfather (Vinod Khanna) and stepbrother (Arbaaz Khan). He is at loggerheads with the local politician, Sonu Sood, who sets the two half brothers against one another. Sonakshi is Salman's love interest in the film.Good: Salman Khan's performance; the songs, particularly Munni badnaam Hui and Tere mast mast do Nan; the action and stunts; the humour. What's Bad: Not bad, but the story offers absolutely no novelty.Verdict: Dabangg will rock at the box-office. A sure shot and a huge hit!

Movie: Dabangg Rating: 4.5/5Salman Khan has played action packed roles for a long time. But this time he shines as the new age cop in his mega action entertainer Dabangg, where he is excellent not just as an actor, but also as a true hero who looks like a cop. It's not only Salman, but also the screenplay that makes this film excellent. Every scene, from beginning to end, has a great repeat value. Every action scene, every song, almost everything in this film is excellent. The punch dialogues are worth clapping. The film has limited number of laughs and cries, and has a perfect ratio of everything.Salman Khan is the true gem of this film. There is not even a single scene where he disappoints. His larger than life role itself is an evidence of it. Other actors do their respective parts extremely well. The action and technical department is excellent. The music is another major plus point of the film. Perhaps it's a great movie with almost everything good.Overall, Dabangg is a great entertainer that has a brilliantly great repeat value as well. Watch it and you will definitely be entertained. Simply an ENTERTAINER!

Well...I still remember when I saw this movie in the single screen theatre in Mumbai..4 years back..people went crazy when song "Munni Badnaam" plays and literally they all started dancing in theatre...and In the end when Salman removes his shirt ...there was little earthquake of whistles and cheers in cinema hall..that was an super ultimate experience which we are missing nowadays in multiplex world..This Movie is Perfect example of what Bollywood movie are all about !!While talking about the storyline...story was late 80's type..yet movie was full of Action,Romance,Comedy,Family Bonding,Heroism,Suspense and above all THE SALMAN KHAN.In short movie was full entertainer with super songs and great background score..and Climax was EPIC...It was all Salman Khan Show...!! Kudos to Abhinav Kashyap and Arbaaz Khan for this bollywood Dhamaaaka :)
