TrueHello

Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.

The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

The best bit about Cooties is the title sequence as maggot infested chicken meat is processed and turned into chicken nuggets and consumed by a schoolgirl as school lunch. The only other bit the viewer might like depending on your mileage is schoolkids attacking and devouring the school teachers or alternatively teachers sadistically beating up the crazed infected kids.Elijah Wood has descended so much from his The Lord of the Rings days. He plays Clint a struggling author who has come back to live with his mom and substitutes as a teacher at the local school. At least he has a memorable first day as a mysterious virus grips the schoolkids turning them into blood crazed monsters as the teachers are trapped inside.Cooties is supposed to be a comedy horror but it is a poorly structured film, a lot of the action is in the dark in order to save on the budget. I found the teachers irritating and I was upset that the Wade character was not the first one to be ripped apart.

I actually really enjoyed this. I'm not a massive fan of Elijah Wood and it's not of the calibre of say, the Scary Movie series, but this was a good film.It may not have the best plot or a big budget, but it was quite funny. You certainly won't be bored watching it, it will certainly entertain you and that's the reason we watch films. Plenty of laughs and over the top cheesy gore that will make you say 'eww' whilst giggling. The opening scenes might be enough to turn some people vegetarian.I'm not sure why but the scene with the kid skipping with the intestines really made me howl.Certainly worth a watch and for the entertainment value, the price is a steal.

Some of the decent second tier horror and zombie movies were made in the 2015 and this is one of that. When the actors are in demand, we expect big from their movies, but this story suits for these actors. Because an average story looks better with guys are not in the watch-out list. So I was not surprised with the movie, but enjoyed the entertainment it offered.Rainn Wilson's the man of the movie, but as for the narration Elijah Woods stands on the front. In this, the children were the antagonist, but it is an R rated movie and nothing was so serious to consider. You know bashing kids kind of stuffs were carefully crafted. Comedy means not like you're going to get the loud ones, but simply acceptable for a change in the storytelling. If you exclude the zombie kids, the rest of the movie was nothing new. The same old adventure with the similar group of people who tries to survive the epidemic. Especially how it all begins was not logical, so you better not look for a proper explanation for those things. Even the runtime was well shorter than the 90 minutes that makes it sweet, Overall a fun movie, only if you accept what it delivers than what you want.6/10

A couple of years ago the internet was full of pictures and rumors that a major retailer of chicken nuggets used a sort of "pink slime" to form their chicken nuggets. A pink slime that includes ground up parts such as feet and beaks. Followup stories and videos widely disproved that but rumors of food quality die hard.So this movie begins with a 3-minute scene inside a chicken farm, which takes chicken meat, even with maggots crawling on the meat, grinds it all up into a pink slime, makes nuggets, partially cooks them, and then ships them to the local school. There we see a young girl being served some nuggets and when she bites into one a black ooze comes out. At that point I almost had to go to the bathroom and hug my toilet. But that scene sets up the rest of the movie, the nuggets are carrying a virus that turns people into zombies. In a slightly later scene the young girl is in class with scabs on her face, two boys are using very abusive language towards her, when she springs up and chews on the face of one boy. Through this process eventually all the kids in school turn into zombies. The teachers then must use their ingenuity to ward off the kids and save themselves. Baseball bats and hockey stocks come in handy.Perhaps the inspiration for this story was a chance for teachers for once to have a genuine reason to beat up and kill the children. The star is Elijah Wood as Clint, a former student at this school in Fort Chicken, Illinois. Now an aspiring writer working on his horror novel of a boat that is possessed, he takes a gig as a substitute teacher this day.I believe this movie achieves its objectives very well, but it is not by any stretch a good movie. I saw it on DVD from my local library.
