Jake: an unsuccessful - yet well endowed - underwear model in L.A, who finds a lucrative new line of work as a platonic escort for women of a certain age. But, just as he finds himself a deep-pocketed "sugar mama" in Barbra, he meets Norah: a stunning and laid back Yoga instructor. As Jake's success blooms, so does his love life; leading him to a crossroad that will change everything.

It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.

Stupid, insulting and vulgar this is one of the worst pieces of garbage ever foisted on an unsuspecting public. Badly acted by everyone but Morgan Fairchild who is her usual knowing glamorous self. Poorly directed with no sense of pace or focus and working with a lame script what really torpedoes this is that the lead actor is a dull lump of nothing. There is no way this scrawny, vapid, whiny beanpole, supposedly an underwear model!!!, would make a dollar let alone thousands as a walker for mature women. It's not just that walkers are attractive men who compliment the appearance of the ladies they escort but it would be only reasonable to assume that they would be stylish men able to conduct an intelligent conversation as well, the idiotic lead character seems like he would be challenged reading the side of a cereal box. A terrible film, watch anything else.

Usually I write reviews in two occasions: when I really like the movie or when I try to warn others about it. In this case is the second option. This is by far the worst movie I have seen this year. Totally predictable, flat characters, stupid argument, bad acting, totally unlikable characters, you don't care what happen to them. So, in few words, please don't waste 90 minutes watching this garbage. That's it. This film has nothing good to be talked about. Even you're looking for an easy laugh, you'll be disappointed. But if you're a 12-year old and/or your mental age is around 12, maybe you'll find this movie funny or at least you'll chuckle a couple of times. But if you are a grown adult, forget it.

"Boy Toy" doesn't offer the viewer anything that haven't already been seen in other movies. And it seems to have been borrowing a bit heavily from some movies in particular.Never having heard of this movie prior to sitting down and watching it, I had no idea what it was about, much less who was in it. The storyline is pretty straight forward and easy to follow; an unsuccessful model is trying to make a living in Hollywood, and he ends up as a male escort. He lands a job with Barbra, whilst dating Norah, and of course something goes awry here. The cast in "Boy Toy" was actually quite good. There were some fairly familiar faces here and there, and people were doing good jobs with their characters and their roles. Just a shame that no one really came off a super memorable, aside from Kevin P. Farley (playing Robert), perhaps. For a comedy, "Boy Toy" failed miserably at making me laugh. I wasn't laughing once throughout the entire movie. Now, I am not saying that it is a bad movie, not at all, it just failed to strike my funny bone. Sure there were some awkward situations in the movie, but for some reason I wasn't laughing. There is a bunch of similar movies out there on the market, and "Boy Toy" doesn't really distinguish itself from the other similar movies. Having seen it now, I doubt that I will ever be popping the movie on for a second viewing. It just didn't have that much appeal in it.If you are in for an evening's worth of comedy, there are far better choices available. "Boy Toy" might be great for you if you are a die hard fan of anyone on the cast list, otherwise this is just a movie that will be see and just as easily forgotten.

This reminded me a lot of the 2007 Loveless in LA, and even the vastly underrated Dirty Love - all three are comedies about singledom and Los Angeles that are all uneven and even bad in places, yet their overall effect is charming, funny, and positive.Boy Toy is a pretty conventional romantic comedy with some obligatory plot twists, that doesn't look like it cost $3.5 mil to make. It wins because of a good script and the excellent chemistry of the cast. There are two of Chris Farley's brothers and a mix bag of recognizable regulars from latter American Pies etc; It's shot in a pretty mixed format of shots, but is well thought through. All in all, I was expecting some R-rated romp and this is much better than that - the three central friends are fun and funny, and even though some of the support are acting light in places all in all if you just want a light comedy with a bunch of girlfriends you could do much much worse....
