Black Dynamite Trailers

This is the story of 1970s African-American action legend Black Dynamite. The Man killed his brother, pumped heroin into local orphanages, and flooded the ghetto with adulterated malt liquor. Black Dynamite was the one hero willing to fight The Man all the way from the blood-soaked city streets to the hallowed halls of the Honky House.

n my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.

One of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.

Michael Jai White's creation Black Dynamite is the best satire of the blaxsploitation genre and one of the funniest movies I have ever seen in recent memory. The thing that separates this from other parodies, is authenticity. The film, clothes and music look so period correct, if one did not know better you could easily believe you were watching a movie from the 70's. To fully appreciate what the film is referencing it would help if you are familiar with the blaxsploitation movies of the 70's. Or if this is your first glimpse at the genre, you will get the idea pretty quickly as Black Dynamite has references to most of them. As someone who loves this kind of film, Black Dynamite is by far the best satire or spoof of the genre. Michael Jai White is great as our black superhero Black Dynamite, which is mainly a hybrid of Jim Brown, Fred Williamson and Jim Kelly. Scott Sanders also had a hand in the writing and directed this film as well. I must say he did an amazing job bringing Michael Jai White's vision to life. Black Dynamite is excellent over the top entertainment and is absolutely hilarious. When I got this on video and watched this for the first time, I laughed so hard I nearly had an asthma attack. Speaking from experience, I can say being hospitalized from asthma is no laughing matter and not an experience I recommend. But Black Dynamite is awesome and is totally recommended.

Black Dynamite is the most fun I've had with a film in a very long time! A spoof made up of genius comedic writing and acting.Whilst some context is needed going into the film, once you understand the layers and the intentions you can find so many laughs in a short run-time. The film within a film adds even more comedy, a few technical errors on top of the already hilarious camera work. As well as the on the nose soundtrack.A very interesting style of comedy and film making, I recommend this one to anyone who wants a good laugh. I could definitely dig it.

Black Dynamite (Michael Jai White)'s only brother Jimmy is killed. The Man is pushing new deadly drugs and suspected Jimmy to be an undercover cop. Black Dynamite is an ex-CIA agent still haunted by a little Chinese boy in Nam. He encounters many characters including Cream Corn (Tommy Davidson), Chicago Wind (Mykelti Williamson), and Tasty Freeze (Arsenio Hall). His police friend O'Leary confirms something that takes him all the way to Honky House. This is a loving spoof of the 70s blaxsploitation genre. There is good deadpan humor. While it is repetitive, it does hit the spot every once in awhile. Too many of the actors are trying to do the same black trope character. They need to have more differences. Black Dynamite needs some fun specific side kicks. The Greek talk is fun because the other guys get to participate. It has some good fun moments although I wish it has a few more different comedy bits.

It's difficult to actually come across consistently hilarious spoofs or comedies in general. My favorites in the genre are Airplane! and the Naked Gun series and this brilliant laughfest towers right up there next to them. There is so many razor sharp jokes spread out in this film that it's hard to decide which sequence is the funniest. In my opinion probably the Kung Fu practicing with his turkey Japs, that sequence really is pure dynamite. Some other negative reviews stated that Michael J. White is not funny and that is completely false, he's not just funny but one of the best performers of black comedy I've seen in decades (black comedy as in style not color).Michael also wrote the film which is even more impressive. Hopefully we'll see more comedy from him in the future.Dy-No-Mite--Dy-No-MiteOutstanding!!!!!
