When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.

Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.

Forget David Schwimmer from 'F.R.I.E.N.D.S' and get to know this David Schwimmer, a man who can act and not be silly all the time. With him teaming with one of today's comedy best Simon Pegg with a good looking Alive Eve, all in a background of dark comedy you will have one of the funniest movie made in a long time. You take a movie and twist it, it might look better, but if you twist it multiple times it might look ugly, somehow Big Nothing was twisted so many times yet it ended up looking very very good. The movie will deliver you a great laugh with a plot that makes you want more. More comedy movies should be like this since sadly comedy movies always get poor ratings but this gets a very nice high one and it's one of those movies that can be watched again and still get the same satisfaction from it. Dark comedy at its best, amazing characters, and an excellent plot.

David Schwimmer and Simon Pegg hit a new low in this supposed black comedy. Alice Eve not only gets to act in this unbelievably contrived film, but confirms that she cannot act. There is so much wrong here, but it starts with a simpleminded script about an extortion scheme gone wrong. Everything about "Big Nothing" is annoying. The script is so bad that what has already been seen is constantly being explained. Along with the horrendous acting, the unnecessary camera effects and headache inducing split screens, characters appear out of nowhere with zero development. You will be living with the fast forward button, if you insist on getting to the end of this abomination. - MERK

When I bought this film, I wasn't expecting much. And, at first, I was right. The movie seemed unbelievably sappy and light, but I decided to give it a chance anyway. It just got darker and darker as the film went along! Although not quite as funny as I would've liked, it was well written(except for a climax similar to the film "Shallow Grave", where the girl finds out what is in the bag), because there are more plot twists than an M Night Shy uh... however you spell it film, and a lot of things about our so called "heroes" that we didn't know before. There's also plenty of disturbing deaths for gore fans, including a woman being axed in the head and hit by a car, a man falling and breaking his skull open on a toilet, a diabetic being forced to eat a lollipop until he dies, and so many more. The only reasons I gave this movie a 9 instead of a 10 were because it could've been funnier, Simon Pegg's fake American accent just sounded, well, fake, and that the film seems to want to borrow humor from "Shaun of the Dead", but almost fails because Pegg is the only cast member from that film. That said, it had a few moments where I genuinely laughed, and a few where I nearly gasped with revulsion. So, a pretty fun movie with a twist I overlooked: David Schwimmer in something that doesn't suck? Wow! What a twist!

I watched The Big Nothing, Run Fat Boy Run and Hot Fuzz this week all with Simon Pegg as leads.Hot Fuzz was horrible and this was just a riot. It's dark...it's gruesome and it's funny - without a whole bunch of needless swearing or nonsense shooting. The cast was good, David Schwimmer was perfect as the wimpy guy. A better role than he ever had in Friends.Simon Pegg lost his accent and is pretty decent in this role. It's a trip that has an odd ending. This was also filmed in Isle Of Man, but I don't see where - as it's all exterior scenes in British Columbia.
