There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.

Beverly Hills Ninja is a great comedy movie. Even if the plot could be retarded for some viewers, but for me it is very good because Beverly Hills Ninja was mainly on comedy.Chris Farley made a great on his role. Haru who should have been the greatest white ninja like the passage in the ninja scripture, but he wasn't. He grew as the dumb and dopey ninja which made his master and his (highly respected) brother in trouble. Farley acted himself like a false guy from god which I am very pleased on him. I was very surprised that he hated his movie when he saw at first time, maybe he didn't like how he act in the movie. But for me, his acting was very perfect and he should be respected as the great comedian. The plot maybe looked easy for someone but I don't think so. Beverly Hills Ninja has a very good and reasonable plot. The production also great too, the movie's crew showed everyone that its comedy movie could had the great graphic, special effects and cinematography. For the summary, Beverly Hills Ninja should be one of the greatest comedy movie. Everything was great and everyone should buy or rent this movie if you want to find some kind of fun!

I am by no means a Chris Farley fan, I'm not sure why some people think he is so funny, most of his humor seems so forced and just makes him look like an idiot. But my boyfriend just kept on telling me how funny this movie was and was tormenting me on how I wouldn't give this film a chance, so finally I just decided to go ahead and see what it was about. Now that I've seen it, while I think it is still very stupid and has some of the worst acting that I've ever seen in my life, I think this was one of those films that it was so bad that it was good. I think the only thing that really made me laugh about this film was Robin Shou, I haven't seen him in any other film other than Mortal Kombat, so it was amusing to see him in this film. He was so serious in this film and that his character as a ninja getting into these silly situations was just priceless. Chris Farley was alright, I have to admit that I could actually stand him in the film, I know that sounds bad, but from me, trust me, that's a compliment.Haru is the fat, white ninja, he was raised by the ninja master and has never succeeded at being a ninja like his brother, Gobei. But when Haru meets a girl who names herself, Sally Jones, she needs help from a ninja to find out if her boyfriend is a murderer. It turns out that he is also in a big counter fitting scam and Haru wants to help her out and goes to Beverly Hills to find a way to capture him. With the secret help of his brother and his protégé, Joey, Haru will help his "dove" and learn the life of a ninja in Beverly Hills.Over all Beverly Hills Ninja is a stupid movie, it has bad acting, and a silly story, but for some reason I did laugh a few times. It made the film kind of enjoyable, even for a Chris Farley film. I think my favorite part was the Japanese kitchen scene where we see Robin Shou dressed as a woman and how Chris Farley accidentally kills a guy who is about to kill him. So give this a look if you are interested in seeing a silly comedy, that's pretty much what Beverly Hills Ninja is.4/10

Story goes that Haru (Chris Farley) was adopted by a Ninja clan. Well, becoming a ninja is a natural thing for him, Not! he barely passed his ninja lessons and whilst learning he has caused many injuries to his friends and to the monastery too! When a beautiful young lady (Nicolette Sheridan) came to the monastery he got involved in an investigation into a suspected illegal money counterfeiting syndicate. Haru goes around doing his business, the unusual way, and that makes it very hilarious!Chris Farley simply rocks ! His antics is without doubt hilarious and downright funny! His fumble and stumble are addictive and there is never a dull moment in this movie. Yeah, some people may feel annoyed to see the same spastic jokes, but not for me!

I first saw this 1997 comedy about four years ago when I was well into my teenage years, and found it very amusing. I even watched it a couple more times about a year later, and still liked it a lot! However, seeing it again several years later, I was no longer impressed. It no longer made me laugh at all, and I didn't even smile that much, either. Obviously, I have changed somewhat in the past few years, as this isn't the only comedy that I thought was really funny a few years ago but don't find very funny at all now (there's also "Johnny English").When an American baby boy washes up on Japanese shores, he is found and adopted by a ninja clan, who name him Haru. They believe that he will turn out to be a great ninja, but sadly, as he grows up, this appears to be doubtful. Haru is very clumsy, doesn't fit in, and it seems that he will never fully make it as a ninja. However, one night, when he is left to guard the dojo, a young American woman, who claims that her name is Sally Jones, comes in, seeking help from a ninja. After some struggle, Haru soon sets out to Beverly Hills on a mission to find "Sally Jones." His brother, Gobei is sent by the Sensei to secretly follow Haru around and help him. So, Haru and Gobei are both on challenging missions, but this is Haru's chance to prove himself a worthy ninja! Late former "Saturday Night Live" comedian Chris Farley played the starring role of Haru in this movie. The character is a walking disaster, the kind of role that Farley was always known to play in movies. Now, he COULD be funny in that role, but in "Beverly Hills Ninja", he obviously wasn't given a very good script to work with, so he's not very funny here. The gags involving Haru lousing up on virtually everything (which are most of the gigs in the film) are mostly just plain stupid, and it obviously didn't take a comedic genius to write them. It's almost like the same joke throughout the film, starting out stale, yet continuing for the rest of the movie! Most of the "jokes" in this film are mediocre, but at least one of them is lower than that, which is the one with the Chet Walters character laughing to death.Fortunately, Chris Farley was funny in some movies (at least in "Tommy Boy"), and was hilarious in many SNL sketches, so we have that to remember him by, and that's why he's so sadly missed. Sadly, when this movie came out, he was getting close to his death, and he was going through a lot of trouble with substance abuse, which was what eventually killed him. It didn't help that apparently, he was upset after seeing himself in this film. So, aside from not enjoying this movie the last time I watched it, I was left with a bad feeling, knowing all this. To wrap this up, I will say that I don't recommend "Beverly Hills Ninja" unless you're an absolutely DIE-HARD Chris Farley fanatic, and want to see slapstick done VERY unprofessionally!
