This Movie Can Only Be Described With One Word.

Admirable film.

The film may be flawed, but its message is not.

Blistering performances.

Not going to write a long winded review. My wife and I had a look at the "2017 Disney Emma Watson" musical released recently, and it was rather terrible. I am not personally into broad way musical kind of stuff, and I could not stand it. This 2014 version the French made just jells a lot better for me. I can't speak more than 5 words French, but I loved this version of the story and how it unfolds. The graphics and cinematography was also excellent. Visually very stimulating. Well worth your time.

The eye candy and costuming alone were worth what I paid to rent this movie. I watched an English dubbed version of the movie...so I'm not sure if something was lost in translation..but I found the "love story" part of the movie a little lacking. I found the special effects amazing and the potential story was promising. I could have done without so much of Belle's background and would have traded it for a more developed relationship with the beast.

The only reason I am rating this movie is because the movie has got very low rating. I absolutely loved the characters, graphics and the actors. I have seen the movie about three times already! I made everyone I know watch it. I would have rated it 10 on 10 if the chemistry shown between the two was more vibrant and also the ending was redundant(you will know what I mean, when you see it).I was blown away by CGI. If you have liked Tangled or Anastasia, you will like this too!Must watch if you like fairytale movies! This is one of those FEEL GOOD MOVIES.

Beauty and the Beast is another proof that French cinematography is on par with current Hollywood blockbusters in terms of CGI and outperforms them in storytelling. It might be wrong to generalize like this, but the previous sentence can't be negated in any serious discussion.Beauty and the Beast is, hopefully, a fairy tale known to everyone. Discussing the script or actors' performance would be beyond the point. The story is retold in a visually perfect manner. Actually, this is in line with movies in which a superhero does the same thing one more time, but with a different lead actor and targeting the audience that was too young to witness the previous installment.The best thing about this movie is the atmosphere. It is indeed a fairy tale, with some passion and some action, but it never becomes sleazy or boring.
