The only enjoyable thing about the last two hours of my life has been the infrequent - that should tell you something - ad breaks and reading through the reviews of the film that already exist. Quite why I continued watching after the first five minutes is a complete mystery to me, but I did. I have just signed up to IMDb for the sole purpose of warning people not to do the same. Obviously, this was a high-budget film. The guns - painted Nerf guns - looked like Doctor Who rejects, the special effects appear to be scanned images of a toddler's drawing. The acting, scenery, script, costumes and directing also leave plenty of room for questioning. If I had spent money on this film, I would be on my knees begging for a refund. One particular scene, in which the characters eat burgers, appears to have been filmed during the lunch-break. While I've never been to LA, I'm pretty sure there aren't miles of desolate buildings in the middle of a desert. If I had to nominate a list of the worst films I have ever made the mistake of watching, this would be at the top. I'm pretty certain that the alien costume was a black bag wrapped around the head of an unwilling crew member. I will never get the last two hours of my life back. I'm urging people to make the right choice and not watch this film.

Because this movie could not hold my full attention, I may have blinked a little too often and missed a few things: like a coherent plot, character development, the reason one of the main characters was dressed the ridiculous way she was (and carries a Japanese sword instead of a gun)etc. It is my impression that the director must have owed some favors (or had a "diversity" agenda), because there was an inordinate percentage of female fighter pilots; and after the first 45 minutes of this movie, NONE of the remaining military characters were white males. This was the first review I've ever written for IMDb; but I felt compelled to warn prospective viewers. The only other feature-length movie I've ever seen that was lamer than this one was "Attack Force" with Steven Seagal.

The quality of this movie has nothing to do with low budget, but a complete lack of skills. From everyone. And it's not in the category "so bad, it makes you laugh" either. I'm actually angry that they made me waste at least 10 minutes of my life on this piece of c. Makes you wonder who actually paid someone to make this, was it a lost bet? A rich person that had it on his/hers bucket list? Not a blind person i guess, because even with your eyes closed the FX and dialog's suck. Your four year old niece could probably come up with a more creative idea for aliens after seeing Independence day. The actors must have known about the script and the concept before they signed, because they are of equal quality. Of course, being in so much pain after 10 minutes that i had to turn it off, i might not have seen the whole crew. Isn't there anything positive? Anything? Nope. Unless a few beautiful faces is enough for you. Oh, and isn't it a criminal offense to name the title almost identical to an actually good movie?

I managed to sit through about 20 minutes of this total garbage. Fortunately, it was on TV, so I hadn't spent money on it - though it was so bad I actually object to the waste of electricity... Dire acting, amateurish CGI attempts, virtually no plot or characterisation. What a turkey... How on earth anyone could release this for general screening is totally beyond me, and the fact that it even made it to the cinema is quite unbelievable. Who on earth put up the money for this?... And then saw it through all the way to release? Surely at some point along the way someone in authority should have seen how dire it all was, and called a halt just for the sake of wasting no more money. It doesn't even get into the category - 'so bad it became funny'. Just plain awful...
