Autumn Blood Trailers

Two young orphans in the Tirolian Mountains come under siege by a vicious band of hunters. Frightened of being separated by child services following the death of their mother, a self-sufficient 16-year-old girl and her 10-year-old brother - who hasn't spoken a word since seeing his father killed by the mayor - strive to live off the land in peace. Their innocence is shattered, however, when a group of hunters led by the mayor's son brutalizes and rapes the free-spirited girl. Later, when a well-meaning social services worker arrives too late to protect the terrorized siblings, the girl and her brother prepare to take a stand against their ruthless attackers.

Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.

It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...

It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.

An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.

except some images that are worth seeing...this movie has no beginning and no end. i have the impression that i have wasted 2 hour of my life..there may be some subliminal message in it but i just could not get it. there is no intrigue, no plot, and no sense to every thing that happens during 100 min of film and after the first 20 minutes i was already annoyed by the slow action, bad acting, the absence of speech communication between the few characters that there are. the only reason why i continued to watch the movie, was to see if indeed the characters will remain so undefined and without personalty by its end. all that they to is run around a mountain forest (though beautiful ) one after another until they get back to were they started in the beginning...

Personally I looked at the name of the movie & figured it was a Horror movie of sorts - I was wrong(or was I). In a word, one may say this movie is "Deep", but I think it was a waste of valuable time. The very first scene leaves one wondering.. and by the very last scene, one is still not quite sure what just happened (& if one has a higher IQ, one may have postulated so many theories which may lead one to frustration). The 'leading lady' did stupid things which resulted in bad consequences.. The bad guys behavior was inconsistent. This is one movie, wherein YOU can speak in the cinema & no-one would "shhh" you for it, because words are a welcome addition to any movie in the 21st century! Okay, so its set in a rather secluded, mountainous area & if a brother & sister had no-one but themselves as friends/family, they should know each other well enough to not have to speak all the time (I get it)... BUT IF I WANT PEACE AND QUITE, I WON'T GO TO THE CINEMA!! ~One

Yesterday I saw Autumn Blood at the Stockholm Film Festival. I am not sure where to start. This film took me by surprise. It started out poetic, beautiful, engaging and lured me with almost hypnotic power into a state of childlike emotional comfort. And the suddenly the world of the children was turned upside down. I found myself fearing for them, crying from anger about the cruelty they had to endure. Skarsgard and Stormare have never been more scary on the screen. Ther was no need for dialog, and the silence was almost unbearable. It was amazing to see how strong those kids could be, and the ending was unexpected and rewarding. Swedish actors at their Best!
