The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.

.Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.

Arbitrage is one of those subtle flat drama thrillers that doesn't really go anywhere. The plot is different and is slightly interesting, but it's not enthralling. The performances are decent, the directing is okay, but could have been better with some script and scene editing changes. The story line revolves around Richard Gere's character "Robert Miller", this character is just not interesting enough to keep viewers hooked. If you don't want a movie that is too heavy, but serious at the same time, Arbitrage is worth watching. Overall, this film is not worth buying, only worth renting on Amazon Prime.

at the first sigh, seductive duel between Susan Sarandon and Richard Gere. in fact, one of the seductive thrillers. not only for the portrait of the lead character but for the remember of old truth. because it is a film about the price of success. about the glory and about the family. about limits. and it has the virtue to give to Richard Gere a beautiful challenge to do a great role. short, the world of business and the temptations who are perfect cages . selfishness. and the mistake who change entire universe of a man. and, sure, the wake up. later.

I love Richard Gere. He has played a lunatic, a double-crossed lawyer in China, a befuddled man in love in Runaway Bride. This movie displayed his darker side. His ruthless side. It was a horrific yet entertaining movie...the director brought out the amoral side of our Buddhist loving actor Richard Gere. Arbitrage was fascinating. The ending was hauntingly unresolved. I half expected a chilling end to Richard Gere's character. Prehaps his ability to be compassionate allowed him to bring forth his almost Satanic side. He did it directly and well. I think this movie is a lesson in selfishness and self love. I liked it.

The story is about the businessman Robert Miller - how he sees things, how he hears things, how he thinks! And he thinks "The world events all revolve around five things - "M" "O" "N" "E" "Y" . So he takes a great risk in his business investing a huge amount and it turns out to be a failure. So he now falsifies his company accounts and try to get a good deal with which he thinks his problems will get solved. He is so desperate to conclude the deal and it keeps dragging a bit. His personal life threatens with more problems that might cancel the deal which is the most important thing for him now. How he handles them is the story .The story is a kind of drama but never lags in keeping the audience interested and engaged anticipating whats gonna be the next move by Miller to solve his problems. Very interesting aspect of all is that his wife and daughter are equally as smart as him making him difficult to handle. The political move which Mrs. Miller makes towards the end shows the smartness in the character after showing most of the ignorance from the beginning.Holding the story causing no harm to any character with his major fraudulent act is something positive to look upon .
