Plot so thin, it passes unnoticed.
... View MoreClever, believable, and super fun to watch. It totally has replay value.
... View MoreThe plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

... View MoreAntropophagus is a 1980 Italian Monster/Slasher movie directed by Joe D'amato. Its about some random tools going around Europe that decide to stop by some island near Greece or something. When they arrive, nobodies there cause they were all killed by some wrinkly cannibal dude who had to eat his family or whatever. This movie isn't that bad for an 80s grindhouse flick, though it does have some pretty slow moments. The movie makes up for it though with atmospheric scenery and gory killings. The Antropaphagus chops, eats, and tears through his victims. The fetus eating scene is pretty depraved and degrading to watch, which makes it pretty cool. Overall, the only people who could really enjoy this are die-hard exploitation fans and gorehounds, so if your one of those, check it out, but if your looking for high-class entertainment or the meaning of life, go somewhere else.

... View More"Antropophagus" it's a 1980 horror film by Joe D'Amato, this is quite an interesting movie, its very different from your average Italian gory exploitation film, I don't have anything to compare it to, Joe D'Amato manages to deliver a decent amount of thrills with the small budget and the little ambition he had for this film. The worst parts of this movie are it's boring scenes, they dominate the film to a huge extent, but that doesn't mean that the film its boring in its entirety, it has a decent amount of scenes that I found to be quite interesting, suspenseful, and even fun. The gore its cheap, but that's expected from films like this, with an incredibly small budget, but D'Amato creates a dreadful atmosphere with its direction and the locations he chooses.I cant say that its a forgettable film, some scenes are quite riveting and memorable, like the scene in the catacombs, a very grotesque and dreadful scene, or its amazing ending scene.I would recommend the film for those who like D'Amato's films, its quite slow at times, but it has some memorable scenes, and its suspenseful at times.
... View MoreThe plot is simple- a group of tourists wander around a deserted island and fall victim to a zombie-like, cannibalistic killer. The pacing is a bit slow for about the first half of the movie and the acting isn't Oscar worthy but if you've seen any other movies by Joe D'Amato that will come as no surprise. That being said I found it to be very atmospheric, the island had a cool, creepy look to it. That, for me, made up for the pacing. Once the movie gets going it definitely delivers the goods in terms of gore. You've got fetus eating, stabbings, some facial reconstruction, disembowelment, intestine eating, etc. It's all done in graphic detail and the fx are pretty decent. Over all I thought this movie was pretty good and it lives up to it's reputation.
