Fanciful, disturbing, and wildly original, it announces the arrival of a fresh, bold voice in American cinema.

It was a lovely story, I think, but I was confused a good bit of the time. I wondered if the movie started before I started watching but was nearly sure it didn't. The actors and Shannon were talented in this role. She is beautiful. I pretty much caught on to the story before the end but was busy trying to figure it out the whole time. I did search it out on-line and found the IMDb website which I found very helpful in clarifying my confusion when I was able to read comments from others and find that others were also in varying degrees of confusion. I didn't choose the movie but when I overstayed the previous one on Lifetime I could not go on about my planned activity for the afternoon because I was "hooked" into it very quickly. It was a good exercise for my sometimes lazy brain.

Another Day - this movie requires you to watch it another day to understand it. I thoroughly enjoy watching Shannen Doherty and I was quite interesting in seeing how well Julian McMahon and Shannen appeared together following the roles they played in Charmed. I can certainly PRAISE the acting skills throughout the film, even the directing - but the plot...what happened? I am at a loss for words because I am still confused. I have to stay loyal to the actors who really did a good job considering the madness of the plot. I also have to recommend you watch it because despite the plot-madness I would still watch it over and over again.

This is quite unlike any TV movie I have seen in a long time. From the outset, the sense of impending doom is omnipresebt, signified by the lead character's retrospective, all-knowing narration which sets the story up for the viewer as a tale of two parts and two people, united by a common theme - love. Shannen Doherty gives a powerful performance, as well as her co-stars. The problem I had with this movie was the fact it felt restricted by its TV movie conventions, even though it tried in vain to emulate a Sundance-style independent drama. I was impressed by its intentions but less so by the intrusive music which often spoiled the sense of eerie mysticism that was conveyed so well through the fluid cinematography.

I thought this movie was superb. Shannen Doherty and Julian McMahon were brilliant together in this. This movie is a good watch for people who believe in destiny and fate. It shows that no matter what one does to prevent a regrettable incident from occurring, when given the chance, destiny will take over. I watched it not knowing that is was a thriller, but it really did keep you wondering what was going to happen in the end and what actually happened at the beginning. Shannen Doherty's narration at the beginning and the end made it seem more real and the amazing camera shots of the river was truly beautiful. It had me shouting at the TV telling Kate what to do and the movie affected me so much that I was crying. If you liked the movie Sliding Doors, then this is the film for you. I really recommend that you give this movie a chance as it has everything a TV movie should have. Love, drama, suspense and above all, Julian McMahon.
