It's hard to see any effort in the film. There's no comedy to speak of, no real drama and, worst of all.

watch it. selena gomez and drew seeley are both hot which is already a good reason to see the movie. the dancing is fantastic (though i don't believe selena did all that dancing, considering how terribly she "dances" now) and the acting was good. selena acts better than hilary duff and is prettier as well. there were more chemistry and romantic moments between her and drew than between hilary duff and chad michael murray. i thought it was a good idea that JP discovered mary's identity halfway through the movie so they could actually develop their romance. the dance off at the end was awesome probably my favorite part. basically i think the dancing plays a huge part in my love for this movie. without it i wouldn't have liked it that much. go see it if you like Disney like movies

I personally love Salena Gomez! So far, she has done nothing like the "other" Disney Channel stars, and she still keeps her innocence, unlike a certain Disney Channel star that I will not name…but let's just say she thinks she's got the best of both worlds. Anyways, this movie was very good in its own way. It was one of those movies were you just felt good after you watched it. It was great for the entire family! Personally, I've actually seen this movie a dozen times it seems like, but I don't really mind, because I like watching movies multiple times…especially if they make you feel good after watching them, like this one does. Oh, and I love Jane Lynch! She honestly has a dry sense of humor, but she made me laugh so many times in this movie. I downloaded the movie and expected myself to be bored out of my mind for the next two hours.... but i was wrong !!! The movie was nothing like I had expected !!! The story is extremely predictable and we all knew what was ganna happen since the first scene of the movie, but I still liked it. The script was really good, though. The conversations between Dustin "Da Phunk" and Tami were hilarious !!!Although personally I thought that if Mary was somehow blood related to Dominique it would've been better. I mean, we are lead to believe the Dominique is such a bad person, but why is she taking care of Mary??? I know she's not really taking care of her, it's more like using her as a slave, but still. When I thought about it, Mary would've actually been homeless without Dominique. Not that I like Dominique, I know she's really evil and all, but she's not as heartless as she's supposed to be. I'm sure no one understands me now, but I think that whoever does if they think about it they will agree with me. But all-in-all, I think the movie was great, above all my expectations. 9/10
