A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.

Yes, absolutely, there is fun to be had, as well as many, many things to go boom, all amid an atmospheric urban jungle.

All My Life is a movie that features Aga Muhlach, who for the nth time, plays an extremely handsome and free-spirited Sam and Kristine Hermosa, who plays Louie,a obsessive-compulsive woman whose marriage ended up in a heartbreak.Sam and Louie meet and fall in love while passengers at a cruise. This movie is a love story that has a message that love do conquers all.Aga Muhlach,as usual, delivers in his role as Sam.Although personally,I think there is nothing new in his role except the name of his character and the title of the film as he have been playing this role for in almost all his films for so many years now.Producers in the Philippines definitely are capitalizing more on his looks rather than his acting abilities, which I believe is above average compared to other Filipino actors. There is a lot to be desired of as far as Kristine Hermosa's acting is concerned. The film has a lot of subplots which definitely an imitation of several plots from American movies such as A Walk To Remember,Titanic,The Runaway Bride,Serendipity, Autumn In New York and Dying Young.Aga's character named Sam is a free-spirit fell in love with Kristine Hermosa's character named Luisa, who is a very structured or obsessive- compulsive.Opposites attract which was the same theme of Mandy Moore's movie A WALK TO REMEMBER with a plot having obsessive-complusive woman fall for a free-spirited man.Sam and Luisa or Louie met and fell in love with each other in a Star Cruise ship which happens to be the same plot in the highest grossing movie of all time TITANIC.When the movie started,we realize that Louie was suppose to get married but as the wedding progresses, his husband-to-be happens to have impregnated a woman. Then Louie runs away from the wedding with her bridal gown on.This simply reminds me of the Julia Roberts' movie THE RUNAWAY BRIDE.Sam and Louie also had to separate momentarily after the cruise.Sam had not been honest to Louie about his presence in the church where Louie was suppose to get married. Then they got reunited through fate and close chance meetings. And finally they met in the church where they first saw each other and where Louie initially wanted to get married. This reminded me of the movie SERENDIPITY,a John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale starrer. In the latter part of the movie,it was revealed that Sam is ill with a rare heart disease called cardiomyopathy and it has no cure. Also,it was discovered that the next heart attack that he could suffer will be fatal.Louie was shocked and her love for Sam was tested. Can she stay with him despite of his illness? The main character of the movie AUTUMN IN NEW YORK starring Richard Gere and Winona Ryder had the same interesting plot. Will Richard Gere's character Will, who happens to be a playboy, stay with Winona Ryder's character Charlotte after he discovers that she has a RARE INCURABLE HEART DISEASE?Finally, before the movie ends,Louie decided that he is going to marry Sam and take care of him despite of his condition. She also is ready to face the fact that he'll love his husband despite that he could die anytime. It was the same plot of Julia Roberts' movie DYING YOUNG.Julia Roberts' character Hilary is a nurse who happens to fall in love with Campbell Scott's character Victor,a soldier who happens to be dying of cancer in the liver. In it,Hilary took care Victor until he died.I found this film somewhat awkward due its numerous unoriginal plot lines and concepts. In general,it can even be considered an original in the sense a 5-in-1 movie instead of a film having one story due to its many subplots. What's worse, the screenplay was written all over the place that characters act somewhat differently as we go from one subplot to another that there is basically lack of character development. It would have been a been a better movie had it only focused on imitating one film and focused on one story instead of five.Better yet,it would have been better if all six stories were told cohesively.Only viewers who have never seen the six said films I have mentioned above or fans of the lead stars would truly appreciate the film and give a good rating.

I thought it was a great movie! It was easy to follow the story. It skips around once in awhile so as to try and not give away the ending, provide suspense and understanding a little bit at a time. If they told you everything in the beginning it would have been boring. Great performances by both Aga and Kristine. Of course, knowing and being familiar with Filipino movies, they try "copying" famous American movie plots...but then again, who doesn't? Movies with similar plots can be found so much throughout cinema history around the world! One country can't "own" such a frequently used plot. Some people say it is sort of like "A Walk to remember" well..if you liked that movie...you will love this one as well. I balled so much at the end! :(

a promising little film that could have been pretty good, but turned out really sucky: mainly due to a directionless script.effective acting by male lead Muhlach, whereas the female lead's acting (Hermosa) appears juvenile by comparison. he acts, she looks pretty for the camera. the script tried to achieve too much, ruining whatever effect it might have tried for. there were too many subplots when the movie would have just benefited from having one theme unfolded and realized. the whole storyline felt too contrived and manipulative.generally: a waste of time. watch something else.

(Possible spoilers)'All My Life' is the latest offering of Star Cinema, a movie producing outfit known for the instant family drama classic 'Tanging Yaman' and a whole slew of other mediocre flicks which market upon star quality and less of story quality. The movie does not individualize itself from the 'other' movies Star Cinema had produced these past few years because it tried too hard to convey a tragic romance story but instead came up with a locally-produced formulaic Hollywood movie.'All My Life' stars veteran charm-boy Aga Muhlach in his nth portrayal as the extremely-handsome-but-with-a-touch-of-tragedy leading man and Kristine Hermosa in her take-off attempt from the teenybopper roles she used to do. The film's attempt at greatness does not go unnoticed, however. The production value and locations used are excellent. This movie had the potential to become one of the most memorable movies on local cinema. However, instead of lining itself up with great local romance movies like 'Imortal' or 'Maynila sa mga Kuko ng Liwanag', it comfortably sat along with mediocre Hollywood romance movies such as 'Autumn in New York', 'Dying Young', etc. The depressing factor and lack of passion had ultimately put the movie down.
