It's easily one of the freshest, sharpest and most enjoyable films of this year.

Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.

Blistering performances.

Selvaragavan is an important director in Tamil.This is his 4th film in Tamil.All of the four films created buzz.Iam expecting this film for almost a year.This film has been under production for more than two years.coming to the movie,the movie starts slowly and getting the mood after 1/2 hour.Story is simple.A senior archaeologist is missing for a while.Her daughter,who is also a archaeologist.Government is sending a mission to search him,with her daughter and a group of labours.The rest is the best.Karthi,Reema,Andreah did their roles well.The show stealer is Parthipan.The veteran proves he is the apt for this role of King.But his role is bit confusing.As a king,he lives luxuriously and feel bad for his people who are in poor.Cinematography is great.Music is good,but the techo sounds are not suitable for a period film like this.If you hear as a album,you like it.The film is Very rich.I may doubt,it will go beyond city.Bit lengthy,the theater people itself cut some parts.Its sure a landmark in Tamil cinema.I rate 8/10

i just don't understand how people gave this movie >5 rating.one of the worst graphical movie, even worse CGI than Dasavatharam.Selvaraghavan has made yet another crap movie. he has tried to depict Reema sen as Lara croft,but it still doesn't impress.bullet fire,snake storming, pit falls etc...nothing sounds original. a freak show right before the interval a bloody fight with the some natives - yuck unwatchable.have u watched Apocalypto Mr Selvaraghavan..?why was the abusive fight between Reema sen and Andrea made..?@ Director Selvaraghavan - Plz watch lot more of Hollywood movies before creating a rip off.Treasure hunt movies which came decades earlier are better than Ur silly movie.a long hunt for some Chola king,The military assisting the group gets supply from helicopters, but doesn't hitch-hike on one.a several century old Chola dynasty right under the open skies, undetected till now in the modern age of satellite technologies.what are u trying to show us Selvaraghavan...? i couldn't watch anything beyond the 1st half.please don't do the 2nd version of the movie.please save the viewers...Final review. - 1/10. u ll love the movie if u have never watched a Hollywood movie before.i have to appreciate the effort of the 150+ persons who rated the movie above 5.

There are countless ways to end your life.you can die naturally,you can die in an accident and you can try suicide.AAYARATHIL ORUVAN is suicide.Everything about the movie can be described in one word-disaster.I am sure that even I could have managed a better job.this is how frustrated i was after watching the movie. you want to get a sample of the experience.go into the kitchen, cue up a male choir singing the music of hell, and get a kid to start banging pots and pans together. Then close your eyes and use your imagination.is a horrible experience of unbearable length, briefly punctuated by three or four amusing moments. Rating acting-2music-3script-3graphics and direction:-2 after experience wow the best part of the movie is when it ends .its like coming from hell.

Where to start.... Its an amazing film from start to finish.. One of the best in tamil cinema.. It is first of its genre (fantasy/adventure) in tamil cineworld and the director should be appreciated for this bold attempt.. the story is simple and for this genre it should be like that... the cast is superb and their performance is adequate.. The first half is fastly paced... and in second half, the director put in lot of twists and try to justify it and in the process the pace drops down.. But the imagination is praise worthy and looks believable... There are lot of things to be appreciated in this film.. Screenplay, bgm, cast, twists, action scenes etc... Special effects are fairly done considering the budget... It is worth to mention that gore factor, sometimes, reaches beyond limit and thus will not be suitable for young children... On the whole, the film is a treat to watch and should be appreciated for the team's hard work...
