A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.

This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.

The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

It starts with a mysterious man going about placing bombs in several places of Sri Lanka. He even has the intestinal fortitude to go to the police station, make a complaint of a lost wallet so they actually see his face, and plant a bomb in the toilet of the police station. Is he gutsy or just plain crazy? Well, stick around, we'll find out.He has some technological expertise because he calls using several cell phone and switches cards so they can't pin him down. And he calls and gives advance information to a young news reporter so all of his escapades are broadcast to the public. He wants some terrorists released from prison or the bombs will go off. When the police are reluctant to cooperate he tells them where to find the one in the police station. OOPS, now they know he is not joking.Suspense builds as we see the faces of the people close to the bombs on a bus and a train. We begin to identify with them, they are no longer just one of a thousand faces in a crowd. We are left wondering if he will blow them up if he is unable to free the terrorists. And we are quite certain they will probably just go about killing more innocents. There are of course problems getting the right people on line to arrange for the release of the prisoners, but eventually it happens and the bombing terrorists are loaded on a plane and sent on their way. I won't tell you how it all ends because that would totally destroy the plot of the movie.Early on I was guessing how it would end and I was right. Nothing like you might expect. If you need numerous explosions to entertain this might not appeal to you. But if you like suspense, and a bit of a chess game plot, this will keep you entertained.

The German title of the movie is a bit of a giveaway, so I hope you did not have a chance to look at that or watch it here. But even if it wasn't you will figure out what is going on before most characters in here know what is happening. The rest is morally ambiguous and might not be your taste or might be right up your ally.Whatever the case, Sir Ben Kingsley gives a more than decent performance, though I'm not sure he as a person would agree to what the movie and his character are standing for. But that's just it, it is a movie and therefor should not be seen as anything more than that. Although it might be fair to say that the director might have more goals and messages to send, it's just what the viewer can assume. Maybe he was just trying to make us think about the topic at hand. And that he achieved for sure

The reason im rating this movie awful is that i have seen the original movie by which is in Hindi and was released in 2008. This is simply a English version of the movie "A Wednesday" which is one of the best movie's i have seen. The only reason i picked this movie to watch was because of Ben kingsley and i am very much disappointed and never expected such poor performance from him. I recommend everyone to watch "A Wednesday" with subtitile you maybe also find that on youtube. This movie is awful in its every aspect either its the direction, production, editing, and above all the acting. When people copy something i would expect that to be a better version, improved one. This is just an awful movie and waste of time, i again recommend to watch the original movie "A Wednesday http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1280558/?ref_=fn_al_tt_4 ".

It's a mix between a Bruce Lee knock off and Chips. Awful, but will make you laugh for about 30 seconds if you can give it that long. I give it a 2 because there is some amusement in the dubbing. Seeing Ben Kingsley at the beginning suggests that there will be some sort of tension, setting up the film for something good. Sadly, it does not happen. I am pretty sure that the police chief was Spocks father in the most recent Star Trek film, seeing him also gave me some hope for the film, again..nope. Ultimately, not sure what the plot twist is. Can't watch the whole thing. Wish I didn't have to write 10 lines to get this review posted as Chips and Bruce Lee knock off really would sum it up for most folks.
