The story-telling is good with flashbacks. The film is both funny and heartbreaking. You smile in a scene and get a soulcrushing revelation in the next.
... View MoreIt’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
... View MoreExcellent characters with emotional depth. My wife, daughter and granddaughter all enjoyed it...and me, too! Very good movie! You won't be disappointed.

... View MoreThis movie might have been good if it was funny. I think all the problems and obstacles were supposed to be funny, but I didn't see it. Until about 20 minutes to go in the 2 hour run time, there wasn't much to cheer about. In addition, the only thing that made this movie about Christmas was the date of the wedding. And there wasn't any new romance since the wedding was scheduled almost from the beginning of the movie. It was kind of ridiculous that since the boss created the problems then he should have taken charge getting her home. If they landed such a big deal, he should have got her a private plane, especially since it turns out he got one for himself after she left.I find it hard to judge acting in a movie that depends so much on ridiculous situations, but I wasn't really impressed by anyone including the couple getting married.
... View MoreWow Here is a "Christmas Romantic Comedy Most Men Will Like". This very surprisingly funny film has a plot that is very similar to "Plane Trains & Automobiles" but minus Steve Martin and the late John Candy. In this film A real-estate developer (Sarah Paulson) embarks on a wild cross-country odyssey to get home in time for her wedding. What works about this film is that it has several laugh out moments. The plot is a little far fetched but so what. What works wonders is the casting. Sarah Paulson as always delivers a top notch performance. Eric Mabius proves his comic chops here. This Lifetime movie is a film that most men over 25 will enjoy, If you want to laugh then see this. This is available on Amazon. It is worth buying.. It will however most likely repeat on Lifetime or Lifetime Movie Network around the Holidays. When it does watch.
... View MoreIn search of some holiday fare, I stumbled across Christmas Wedding on video. I did not expect a challenging tale and Oscar-winning performances. However, I was hoping for a bit of holiday cheer in the run up to this year's December 25th.Alas it was not to be. Saccharine plot, clichéd characters, and predictable trajectory to the storyline add up to an irritating viewing experience. The festive (if not entirely authentic) scenery saved it from a 1, including a nice white horse decked out with jingle bells who makes an appearance. At least it looked like it was fun for the cast to make which is some consolation for the long-suffering viewer who perseveres to the end.
