When an experienced thief accidentally makes off with a Van Gogh, his partner is kidnapped by gangsters in pursuit of the painting, forcing the criminal to hatch a rescue plan. 7 Seconds has Snipes doing his usual stuff which is punching and kicking and his part for the most part works now as far as direction, script, characters, actors and villains? The film fails to deliver in each one of those things. Since most of the actors are phoning in, the characters are terrible and throw some of the dumbest lines i have ever seen or head and except some good action from the main lead? The entire movie is boring, bland and above all forgettable to sit threw. (4/10)

Just a few words after reading some of the pretentious media illiterate reviews here. Like most media it's the CONTEXT that we ingest it in that matters.I ingest techno in a club a midnight not after my Tai Chi class. And this late night campy action movie was just what the senses ordered, when we watched it late at night with Kebabs and Lager. It's such a laugh!! Forget the plot, it's the characters, and by the way it's great to hear so many accents, the South London accents is a good change from the usual suburban middle class accents British actresses have and I could go on. It is a Straight to Video, like Seagal which is also ingests well after a night out with your mates with a Kebab and Lager for some bubble and giggles. The dialog doesn't demand much, and the plot is simple to follow so frequent trips to the fridge and bathroom never elicits a 'what I miss?'.If it comes on at your local cable, best to ask yourself first 'am I feeling' for a Jarmusch or a poor man's Tarantino,' before watching more than 7 seconds of this Kebab n Lager special.

why Wesley snipes is making c grade films is beyond me now this is another addition to his career 7 seconds is about a thief with his gang commits a robbery but things goes wrong as some other gang members arrive now Wesley snipes takes a women officer as hostage & steals her car doing a lot of action evading police.this was filmed in Romania the streets looked great but the plot was again the same stuff we all seen before the setup.one of his own gang member sets him up.Wesley snipes needs to make a great film its 2012 his career is finished if he keeps this up.my rating is 1/10 don't even waste your 7 seconds watching this.

The script is full of common places and absurd dialog .I find myself laughing my head off with some dialog that was supposed to be serious . The 2 leads are alright but some of the supporting actors perform like "Look , I'm in a Wesley Snipes movie ". I think that Wesley Snipes really enjoy acting in these kind of movies and I like some of them but it's about time that he goes for a more dramatic role cause I consider him a very fine and excellent actor and some of his previous movies show. Still I have watch some action movies that are worst than this one . I think that the direct to video release is fair in this case , the movie is not that good .I will look for his movie Chaos then with Jason Stantham.
