I gave this film a 9 out of 10, because it was exactly what I expected it to be.

If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.

The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.

While it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.

In the world where movie is commercialised, this movies moves to go-getter feminist attitude genre and does a good job in it. If you like Jyothika in Mozhi then read no further, you will love this movie. From the premise, taking acquisition for her husband, to cliché of sacrificing her career for her family the movie tells you one thing and one thing only. JO, audience she is the only soul who you will root for in the next 2 hours and that's it. And she has done a exceptional job, you can see her maturity in acting skills as she does every movie and i think this movie is just for that demographic who wants to see on her theaters once again. I respect her for her commitment This movie just sounds like a bio-pic and you would want to see how she surpasses all those obstacles and emerge victorious. Set aside that fact, the other characters have done a good job as well. Yes, they don't have much of screen space but in the scenes they come in, they have been used really cleverly. Rahman, this guy was really good, he was asked to be a male oppressive douche bag and he is exactly that, very believable. Granted, he has that from his general appearance, still he doesn't act over the top, and still makes you hate the character more so that you want to root for our lead, Jo.I wonder, for a kid who idiolises her mom, the director has not given the right dialogues for the kid in the movie. I mean Mithila had put her mom on the map, so she should have been given a more lovable role, but she is as equally as hateable as her dad, but since she is a kid gets that concession.Jayaprakash and Nassar does a guest appearance which is not required, i just wish such highly competent actors does a more substantial role and Delhi Ganesh has been grossly underplayed. Until the interval the movie was giving us bread crumbs in all different directions and after interval i believe the movie has just lost that grip and moved into a "overnight billionaire" attitude. That is where i did not feel involved and was not inline with the thinking of the movie. Everything she touches turns to gold, yes such things are possible in real life but the director should have paced it really well and given some hard working labour intensive scenes just to show Women are no less than Men. I find that missing, the premise did that, women working in different jobs, i loved to watch that, but later on when creating the bigger success picture, nothing is shown, no pain is depicted, and it just felt that for such a intriguing premise set, the movie rushed all in the end.The movie such as this would want some comedy relief, which was again missing, some jokes fell really flat and was not worth the chuckle. Also i felt many scenes were shot with a different perspective and later shoehorned into the movie just because they shot, it did not contribute to the screenplay nor the story of the movie (e.g., The accident scene, marathon song). The acting by everyone was good and they were the character you want them to be, a predictable script and the fact that the movie knew this made the run time really short, very good thinking! You can never look away in the scenes Jo is in, which is pretty much 98% of the movie and the social message though lacks depth is likable and kept me thinking if should think about fruits and vegetables the same way.You would surely not be disappointed with the movie, but i guess this movie just tells you Jyothika still got it and do not write her down. Should watch with the family and will and should think about implementing some concepts.

I am feeling very wholehearted as I write this review. This movie do have plot holes and minor mistakes but who cares!Jyothika in making her comeback chose the perfect script - a woman desperate to prove herself, to find herself. The very big plus of this movie is it catches with the current trend.Screenplay and BGM worked big time, aiding big success for this movie. At some points, dialogs are a bit of worry but in some it takes the center stage. Easily one of my favorite movies and one of the best of 2015. It will surely sow some seeds deep in you. Never miss it.After all its our Jyothika! No more detailing. Just go and watch! If you are a Husband/brother/Father/Son, bring your ladies!

I believe I am the first person to review this movie here. So coming to the review. 36 Vayadhinile- The title itself tells us how the story will be and pretty sure people would have seen the trailers and TV spots. So yes. The plot is pretty much predictable. Jyothika has returned to tamil cinema with a big bang. Since surya is the producer, I believe Jyothika would have felt really blessed now. The movie is running successfully. She has done a very neat performance. Her acting is accurate. The side cast includes Rahman, Deva Dharshini, and of course Delhi Ganesh. Delhi Ganesh, even though he has few dialogues, he has appeared in many scenes when compared to his previous. He is a brilliant actor and I hope directors use him properly. The dialogues are a big plus point to this movie . The scene as soon as the interval is done is just brilliant. Please watch out for that scene. The girl who has played the role of jyothika's daughter actually doesn't look like a 13 year old kid and in fact looks much older. The music has nothing much to say. But the bgms were really nice. So to end this, I need to ask one question. Everyone knows this is a remake of a ma malayalam movie . If the movie which you have seen is good, then why can't they create such a film in tamil itself??. We as tamil audiences should really improve. And should start avoiding kuthu songs, bar scenes, and nonsense dialogues . The movie makers are ready to give such amazing flicks. But are only worried about the likings here. So please do watch such movies. And prove that they also can be successful.
