When the older brother (Tommy Nash) he idolizes is run off the road by a ruthless drug dealer (Darren Thomas) during a nighttime street race known as Sepulveda Suicide, Rick Merchant (Jaz Martin) channels his grief into getting revenge behind the wheel. It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.

First and foremost the acting, directing, action and driving sequences, cinematography, and the CGI were completely and utterly pathetic. The movie was actually so bad that it makes it worth the watch jus for the unintentional comedic effect. Secondly, the movie almost insults your intelligence if you are the least bit knowledgeable about anything to do with vehicles. The Mazda RX7 Second Generation Model with a 2.6L rotary engine (which is interchangeably referred to as an MX5, aka Miata) is swapped with a Nissan 240 S14 throughout the movie and in the poorly animated CGI sequences. Also the brother's Nissan 370Z with a naturally aspirated 3.7L V6 (which is also swapped with a Nissan 350Z thorough out the CGI sequences) has an approximate MSRP value of $36K (not $80K) and an acceleration from 0-60 in 4.6 seconds with 13.2 quarter mile time and a top speed of 160-ish(not 195). Finally there's the (assuming stock its well over 500hp AWD) 2010 Nissan GTR R35 with a 3.8L VR38DETT twin-turbo V6 which would blow the 370Z completely off the road much less the RX7(even with the pointless NOS injection system). Another unexplained phenomena is how they fixed and modified two vehicles(the RX7 and the brothers totaled 370Z) within one weeks time in order to race. All in all I would have to say this is definitely the worst racing movie and most likely the worst movie of any genre that I've ever seen; however, I must admit I rather enjoyed watching it and would even recommend watching it if you had two hours of your life to waste because the movie 'unintentionally' had me laughing from the very beginning due to the extremely poor budget, the many many holes within the plot, and all of the reasons above.

This movie is hilarious. If you like movies that are so bad they're funny, you need to watch this. I haven't laughed this hard since Black Dynamite. I really hope this movie was made bad on purpose. It's so unbelievably terrible that it has to be on purpose. The CG looks like a high school project(and a bad one at that), the acting is a D+ at best, and oh the cars... Anymore that's spent 5 minutes around a car can tell it's completely ridiculous. People giving it bad reviews need to stop their hate and spread the humor. On the other hand, how many people work on a movie? A lot, that's how many. So if this movie is serious, every person on the cast and crew needs to be euthanized...immediately.

Sixty per cent of votes cast on IMDb (international movie database) for '200mph' were for a score of 1 out of ten. This was premiered on the SyFy channel...not sure what and how it's science fiction. I don't recall them ever showing Gone in Sixty Seconds...because that's the obvious comparative. It's straight to DVD and the Mazda RX7's and souped Nissan's are the only stars, adding humans sends things down the pan completely. I'm no car mechanic (Top Gear is about as close as I get) but I know that you should keep calling the same car model the same name and that you don't design a faster car (40mph extra, on top end) hammering keys on a laptop, whilst it's perched on the front wing of said car, say some magic words and hey presto! Everyone hi-fives and are delighted. The 'parts' get magically delivered for the next scene. The characters are either so stereotypical, such a chief mechanic being a young girl, in tank top and short shorts, who talks very fast, presuming to blind us with her non-sensical knowledge. Or, they're completely ridiculous. e.g. the young man who gets killed and thus the big race, as revenge, has a raggedy beard that's not trimmed or tidy and looks a bit of a tramp. He rolls home in this $80,000 top sports car, cos he's just been made manager of the franchise for the district and he can take home any car he wants. And his mother is a stripper. She is, I'm not making that one up...I tried to shut out all superfluous stuff other than the action. 160mph around L.A.? Well, very shaky cameras that obviously show the warp speed and sonic boom after, CGI and cut-editing and juddery this and that and everything. The soundtrack does its best to keep up and frankly, it's the best bit. I stopped watching it half way through. I'm due to retire in 20 odd years time and every moment is precious....Forget this one, unless you want to see the most utterly worse cop in history, all history, anywhere. Ever. He keeps up with the naughty boys and girls in an unmarked Ford saloon. 0/10.

Well... To be honest it's a funny movie because it's such a fail that you can't stop laughing. Others might not share the same opinion. His car had every possible modification and still he just achieved 250km/h WOW I can do better with my Seat 1.4TSI. Ahh right, he reached that speed doing corners so it might be right. His car broke and he was pushing it to the garage, and then from nowhere he could drive it normally after speaking with the police officer? AWESOME I wish mine could do the same trick.I just posted the name of this movie on facebook. So more ppl will be able to see this precious :D
