n my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.

It’s an especially fun movie from a director and cast who are clearly having a good time allowing themselves to let loose.

The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful

A film about the interlacing stories of a group of friends leaving their adult responsibilities behind to relive their high school years for one night, giving them a chance to see their friends one last time - to reignite a spark they forgot they ever had, to find closure with past relationships, or to forget their adult lives for a night and just be free once again. There were only a select few scenes that really resonated with me in this film - they felt very real and very raw with a dash of sweetness; and they all happen to occur in the second half of the movie, which is by far the better half. But despite the unquestionable chemistry between the on-screen actors as well as the realistic awkward tension between some of them, the film overall fell short. It didn't quite deliver all that it set out to.That being said, it still manages to give the viewer a delightful bitter sweet ride of nostalgia even if it leaves them wanting a tad bit more by the end. 6/10

This was a surprisingly solid little film, giving a heartfelt take on growing up through a 10 year high school reunion. Some of the story lines are better than others and there's nothing super ground-breaking here, but ultimately a good movie that I found relatable. The entire thing takes place over one night with a fantastic ensemble cast. Lots of familiar (young) faces as we follow a group of friends who find that a decade later they haven't changed as much as they thought. Much drinking is done throughout as old flames are rekindled (Channing Tatum & Rosario Dawson), a bully (Chris Pratt) tries to make amends and regresses, rivals (Justin Long & Max Minghella) compete for the affections of a popular beauty and a musician longs for the crush who inspired his hit single.Chris Pratt kinda stole the show for me, he plays a sad, frustrating loser of a character, the type of guy we all know/knew and avoid while still somehow calling a friend. I enjoyed Channing Tatum and his reunion with high school love Rosario Dawson while he contemplates proposing to real life wife (Jenna Dewan-Tatum). Justin Long & Max Minghella provide a bit of comic relief that ultimately becomes bittersweet. The credits at the end are worth watching as they show the video shot over the course of the reunion. 8/9/15

Directed by Jamie Linden, "10 Years" finds a group of high-school buddies attending a high-school reunion. Once there, they confront regrets, disappointments, insecurities and wonder how their lives might have turned out had they not embarked upon various pursuits.Like most "high school reunion" movies, "10 Years" oozes melancholy. Chris Pratt and Channing Tatum in particular are very good as a pair of alpha males whose large exteriors mask wounded hearts. The film's standout scene, though, belongs to a button-nosed Kate Mara. Sitting in a bar, blushing behind protective palms, Kate watches as Reeves (Oscar Isaac), an old classmate, sings a song. The song's famous and adored by women all over America – Reeve's has become a pop-star – but Kate's character, Elise, has never heard it.What unfolds next has become "10 Years'" main claim to fame. As Reeves sings his song, appropriately named "The Best I Never Had", a moment of realisation washes over Elise; the song is about her! In an instant, hearts melt, mouths drop and undergarments moisten. The sequence's power, though, stems from the way it encapsulates the anxieties of Linder's entire cast. Reeves' song was designed for one woman in particular, yet hit its target ten years too late. And so if a man's imagined destiny can spend a lifetime out of reach, how does one go on living? Upon hearing her own personal pop-song, a shell-shocked Elise rejects Reeves. Life has moved on and circumstances have changed. As the film closes, friends and ex-lovers shuffle off in the night, consoling themselves with the belief, the hope, that what turned out, somehow, maybe, nevertheless turned out for the best. There aren't many good "high school reunion movies". Fare like "Grosse Point Blank", Vinterberg's "The Celebration", Ted Demme's "Beautiful Girls" and "Romy and Michele's High School Reunion" are perhaps the best. Reunion flicks by auteurs ("Peggy Sue Got Married", "Return of the Secaucus Seven", "The Big Chill"), in contrast, tend not to age well. Considering "10 Years" was Lind's debut, it's pretty good.7.9/10 – Worth one viewing.

(Credit IMDb) The night before their high school reunion, a group of friends realize they still haven't quite grown up in some ways. This was a nice film that was quite decent. I've never been to a high school reunion myself, but it was a good look at how you evolve as a grown up and how life changes when you become an adult. You mature in some ways, but you forget the sense of fun because so much responsibility is placed on your shoulders. This movie explored these issues fairly well. It also helps that most of the characters are likable. Channing Tatum isn't just a pretty boy, but a legitimately good actor. Many of us have had a first love that we have never fully gotten over that we need closure with. Tatum's storyline with Rosario Dawson felt very real and poignant. Justin Long is hilarious in his role and he has important part as well. The rest of the cast is fun, but Chris Pratt got on my nerves a little bit. As far as the real life couple of Tatum and Dewan? They have great chemistry and it's obvious as to why they are in love. This is a good movie for anyone that deals with high school issues6.2/10
