It's no definitive masterpiece but it's damn close.

The movie is wonderful and true, an act of love in all its contradictions and complexity

What started as a great and mysterious story ended up as an overly detailed yet not developed mixed. Pity as felt like the show has a potential. 1st season characters brought for short (and pretty useless) cameos into the beginning of the 2nd season added 0 value and just took the time, which could have been spent on developing new characters and subplots. Too many beautiful small details that went called leaving the viewer with rather confusion than catharsis, i.e. insight into the enemies' life, distopic society, flashbacks "explaining" the 1st season yet appearing in the 2nd, etc. Too many useless characters and interactions, i.e. we have a story of a brother and a sister, which wouldn't have been any less interesting if some scenes had been cutt off. The ending was a bit of a disappointment to say the least; probably the creators were hoping for continuation, thus left the viewer high and dry with lame hints. Highly recommend the 1st season.

Just enjoy it, its FICTION for heavens sake. Its not gonna all add up..but i enjoyed it, Why?? because i am not so dam critical!!..Enjoy something for once in your life. You keep expecting 100% and you will always be let down!!Because i have to rite 5 lines of text i will continue on..

I didn't know at the time I watched the pilot episode of this TV show that there was a book series that this mystery sci-fi show based on. I kept watching until the mystery revealed surprisingly after just few episodes in the first season and what made me keep watching not the mystery it self but what the characters would do! When you watch Wayward Pines after the "reveal" of truth you might feel sorry for the characters for what they are facing. You will keep thinking of the proposed solutions (in the TV show). The TV show should be ending with season 1, as season 2 did not present much to the mystery and the solutions (even though few episodes in season 2 were superior to some few episodes of season 1). Season 2 has few episodes "explaining and revealing" some of lose ends from season 1 and "explaining and revealing" other an unnecessary information.For now I can not compare this TV show to the book and whether the TV show was loyal to book content or not but in overall this TV series is good regardless of some irritating moments, characters, and decisions in it. If you decide to watch this TV show you will probably ending watching "characters" behaviors, few behaviors will make sense and lot of others might...not!

The first season is exciting though most character seems to be either stupid or have brain issue. There is definitely no reason not to tell people the truth. The second season is the strangest ever: all main characters in season one died out, and the story seems to be repeating the first one. Even Game of Thrones will only let small part of main characters die.
