It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.

There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.

This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.

Very good storyline, well staged, I like the idea of what appears to be aliens then it switches to possibly damaged humans then the realisation that we are 1000's of years in the future and the monsters outside turn out to be whats left of the human race, evolution or something else? we shall never know, what a pity.... so much boring PC stuff still on the air that is utter drivel.....hopefully some other channel or network will pick this up.

    M. Night Shamalongadingdong strikes again...basically deviating far enough from the storyline of the books to turn it into an evening soap opera. This was almost as bad as "The Mist" tv show. Why on earth were major plot lines changed? It made it far less interesting, into a snoozer....

Wayward pines is so abhorrent and so misguided TV shows i have in recent times that it is hard to summarize what it was intended for and what it intending on becoming.till 5th episode of first season, i think it was going the right way of between psyche and dictatorship/dystopian society and the answers it was asking or getting to know of. But after this episode, you will see the clichéd side and the most of the what you know and most of what you don't wanted to accompany with this kind of TV series. I came here on the name of M. Night Shyamalan, who has been known for twisting and psychological films like the sixth sense, unbreakable and most recent split.By the time you arrive on the second season, whole scenario changes and as a result, you don't get to see what you came here for and would be either cancelling out midway or keep continuing till the end of the season two. Here, even the presence and delightful acting of Nimrat Kaur as Rebecca Yedlin and hard and speed 2 like act of Dr. Theo Yedlin as Jason Patric doesn't does much as the story rottens and there is nothing you would think to hold onto. And, as the season two ends, i thank myself that the producers didn't allow for the third season, which they must have known, is not going anywhere and will gradually become a stale TV series no one wants to watch or a TV show that no cares about.

(I gave the first season a six -- though partly because I am in love with Carla Gugino and would go live where she is had it not got vetoed by the wife and kids -- and the second season got a 0 since I couldn't get through the first episode.)I liked the premise very much, it should have great potential, if you're just looking for some easy entertainment and don't sit there counting every last bullet everybody fires. It clearly isn't the type of thing that can be drawn out endlessly though, as I think they tried to do here. The first season was enjoyable a lot of the time, albeit I repeated too often: why would you say that? why don't you explain yourself? why don't you go there? why would you conclude that? how do you not see that flaw in that???The second season is nothing but a violation of rationale from the outset, so you don't even bother asking the questions.Years ago I probably would never have watched something this south of a decent standard and I can't tell if it is because I am of an older generation or if its our options that have diminished.Truth is I think I am becoming more and more cynical of Hollywood productions in general. I don't believe it's their artists (actors, writers, etc.) who lack talent or intelligence, but there is something horrible that comes through in most shows eventually.
