Instead, you get a movie that's enjoyable enough, but leaves you feeling like it could have been much, much more.

The movie really just wants to entertain people.

The most entertaining part of this show is Wanda's reporting segment. These bits are both as funny and as biting as anything Michael Moore did on "TV Nation" or "The Awful Truth". He must be kicking himself for not coming up with what Wanda did in the first episode's gun control story.Let's hope Fox doesn't catch on and start dumbing down and toning down this show. It's a welcome relief from all the "reality TV" crap.

I didn't know who Wanda Sykes even was until I saw the commercials for Wanda at Large. And I was put off by her put-down comments. Somehow, I saw the second episode and enjoyed it very much. Her edgy comments make more sense in the context of the story line. The supporting cast is pretty funny and the Washington, DC location is a nice change. Also, you get the impression Wanda would be a good friend and one with no illusions about people. You can't see her becoming bitter. I thought the segment about reparations to African-Americans was pretty inventive. Usually, male comedians touch on such issues. So, hats off to Wanda Sykes.

I first saw Wanda on "Comedy Central Presents...", then in a great performance in the movie Down To Earth. I thought she was absolutely the funniest comedian I had ever heard. She has quick wit and offers great views on life, race, and age. Though she is on Inside the NFL and Crank Yankers on Comedy Central, this is her first starring role, and it's a great role. For anyone who is board of the same old shows, turn to Fox and watch Wanda!

I only recently "discovered" Wanda while watching "Inside the NFL" on HBO. I was disappointed on the weeks she didn't have a segment because her wit is so sarcastic and hilarious, that, in my opinion, it made the whole show. When I found out she was starring in her own sitcom, I was thrilled. I also was NOT disappointed.I watched the pilot this week and found myself laughing out loud all the way through it. I really hope it does well and continues for a long time. It certainly made my week. WATCH THIS SHOW!
