Most undeservingly overhyped movie of all time??
... View MoreGood concept, poorly executed.
... View MoreThis movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
... View MoreClose shines in drama with strong language, adult themes.
... View MoreI do not mind the episodes that I have watched so far. I also like Michelle Fairley as Catelyn Stark in Game of Thrones. I found that her turn as Margaret Beaufort was not as convincing as the previous actress. Margaret Beaufort was supposed to be a devout god-fearing woman. I did not find Fairley's turn as this compared to the other actress.
... View MoreI loved everything about this show, I wish it never ended!!!!!
... View MoreI was so disappointed in this series. I'm a huge fan of Ms Philippa Gregory's novels, and of the Plantagenet/Tudor era. The White Queen, series and novel, I absolutely loved. Historically inaccurate, as being historical fiction, but a very entertaining read and viewing. I just finished watching the Tudors when I stumbled across the White Queen and I was excited to watch the era before the Tudor period. I finished the White Queen and was hanging out desperately for the White Princess. When I finally watched it I was so disappointed. Maybe it's because I have an extensive historical knowledge of the era and it was so historically inaccurate? Or because I had grown accustomed to the White Queen and was disappointed that none of the original cast had returned? My favourite character in the White Queen was Jacquetta Woodville, of course she wouldn't appear in the White Princess, but I missed her all the same. Biggest disappointment in the White Princess was Lady Margaret Beaufort. Firstly, because I will always see Michelle Fairley as Lady Catelyn Stark, and secondly, the character wasn't portrayed remotely similar to Margaret in the White Queen. White Queen Margaret was hilarious to watch, being almost on the crazy side with her infamous piety and ambitious nature. Michelle Fairley didn't embody that at all. If I want a White Queen/Princess binge, I watch the Queen series and read the Princess novel
... View MoreI don't know if any spoilers are below but just in case I checked the box. I watched the White Queen and White Princess back to back. I felt the the Queen was too long but excellent. I felt the Princess was the right length and very good. If you didn't see the Queen you'll be lost on the Princess. I didn't get why the characters from the Queen didn't carry over to the Princess unless it was a matter wanting new characters to appear older. But, I think the continuity of keeping the same actors would have made sense. There was no reason for a whole new cast. But, even with the new cast the story was excellent. The ending is disappointing from viewers desire but not disappointing from a story perspective. I wished for a different ending but the ending made sense and am glad they didn't pander to what viewers wanted. I liked the fact it didn't up as hoped for but as what likely would have happened. As for the acting and production, it was excellent. The characters to hate were perfectly despicable and the ones we cheered for were just that. Both series were great but I liked the Princess better than the Queen, but not by much. Marathoning them is a great way to spend 18ish hours. Hope the Red Queen gets made. Ignore the negative reviews and enjoy a great series.
