Just intense enough to provide a much-needed diversion, just lightweight enough to make you forget about it soon after it’s over. It’s not exactly “good,” per se, but it does what it sets out to do in terms of putting us on edge, which makes it … successful?

If you like to be scared, if you like to laugh, and if you like to learn a thing or two at the movies, this absolutely cannot be missed.

This show has everything you need. The laugh out loud funny father of the household Tracy Morgan (need I say more? His face says the rest). The funny and cute kids (yes, I said it) Marc John Jefferies and Bobb'e J. Thompson. The gorgeous wife Tamala Jones. And Tracy's hilarious co-workers Katt Williams, and John Witherspoon. I'd give this show a 9 out of 10. The only downfall being character development. But come on, just look at Tracy. His smile even cracks me up! Give it a watch, and let his comedic style grow on you like an ugly Christmas sweater.

I'm glad to see that Tracy Morgan has a show, because a lot of times when people leave Saturday Night Live, nothing happens after that, no matter how hard they try (have you heard from Cheri Oteri?). Anyway, Tracy is pretty good as the patriarch Tracy Mitchell, and Tamala Jones (ahhhhh.) is good too, and I really like the kids, but there's one character I can do without. Freddy (Katt Williams), the token angry black man or token scrub, I'm not sure which, just isn't funny. Also, sometimes it seems like the audience's laughter is forced. I hear a lot of funny jokes, but after I hear the audience I sometimes find myself saying, `It wasn't THAT funny.'Other than that, I think the show is going to last. And isn't it amazing how much weight Heavy D lost?Anthony Rupert

I give it a thumps up... I know its the first show but it was so funny. I never heard of this comedian but I was happy with the quality of it. Even the little sons were all adorable. I hope they keep it running if not I hope UPN takes their contract. Wil Smith watch out but its as funny as your show "All about Us."

Former SNL member Tracy Morgan stars as Tracy Mitchell, an auto mechanic, in this sitcom focusing on his family and his job. The pilot just premiered, and in a year where new sitcoms have looked terrible, "The Tracy Morgan Show" looks promising.Though Morgan is funny, the show's humor seems to come a lot from the supporting cast, in particular, the Mitchells' younger son, Jimmy, played by Bobb'e J. Thompson. The laughs also come from Tracy's interaction at work with his fellow mechanics (Heavy D and John Witherspoon). Though some of the humor is forced, and the show does not seem to be the greatest, it has the potential to be new and creative, and one of the better sitcoms out there today in a time where the sitcom is starting to fade away.
