Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.

It really is a shame we only got two seasons. Every episode left me wanting to see more, because all the good stuff was in it: engaging voice actors, well developed versions of the characters, great action scenes etc. I always say that a good story triumphs visuals, but the animation in the 1994 series was so much more dynamic. The style of Saturday morning cartoon series is a downgrade, but that is the only issue I have with this rendition of our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Watch it. You won't regret it.

I am a huge spider-man fan but I've never been able to find a definitive version of the character until I came across this masterpiece. The spectacular spider man encompasses everything we love about the wall crawler from the humor, to the drama,to the thrilling action sequences, it's all there and accounted for. The story arcs in each season perfectly intertwine and set up future story lines without feeling forced and this really shows when it comes to the villains, as we are introduced to many of them before their transformations giving us time to truly delve into them and their motivation. After finishing off the second season one would expect an incredible third season which was said to have hobgoblin, scorpion and carnage, but unfortunately the show was canceled way before its time (although fans have been working to bring the show back by spreading hashtags such as #specspidey4netflix and making petitions). Episodes like intervention and final curtain go to show just how much respect and understanding the creators have for the character that no other show has been able to convey to us before. Everything is perfect from the voice acting, (Josh Keaton still remains to be the best spider man) to the weird art style, to the insanely catchy intro. This is a show I can recommend to anyone, spider-man fans, fans of good cartoons, or just people in general as it has a little bit of everything for everyone and will forever be missed.

Much like Batman TAS, both JLs, and Teen Titans this series was one of the best shows I've seen; animated or not. Not only that, but to my knowledge it's the best Spiderman series ever put on TV because of how well made it is and what I think of Spiderman. Peter is a brainiac, but he doesn't flaunt it, when it comes to situations like romance and holding up to his duties as Peter Parker he reacts to it like some teenagers in his place would while as Spidey he uses his quick wit to get the foes off guard and is also serious about the situation at hand and it's not forcefully funny like some writers would make. The side characters have their own personality and some have character archs in the show that really shows itself in the 2nd season; they're memorable and I ended up liking most of them. The animation is something newcomers would have to get used to but when you do you'll like it and it fits into the shows dynamic, also I love how Peter actually LOOKS like a teenage nerd would instead of the beefy 90s Peter. The sound is smooth and plays well in the background of scenes and really helps the fights flow well, especially in a certain ep in season 2. It array of villains were cool too from Electro to Vulture so it's good to have that variety in the show as well and heck, even a few of the villains have an arc to them. All in all this is a show I really think everyone should watch because it's exactly what I think a Spiderman series should be, memorable, able to hold up over time, and damn is it rewatchable; it's even my first torrented series. Even though this fell into the 2 Season Hell Pit that many good Superhero shows end up at (except for TT, but we see where they went) I really hope it returns with a season 3 to tie up some ends left loose in the show.
