A bit overrated, but still an amazing film

True to its essence, the characters remain on the same line and manage to entertain the viewer, each highlighting their own distinctive qualities or touches.

I guess I must have missed the Lesbian parts when I read these books as a kid. Why must homosexuality be force fed down our throats with every kids show these days?

I read all the books many years ago, and the producers of this show completely ruined the series (at least for television).. Its just another attempt to force down our throats women are super strong and even though they are 115lbs they can take down 6-10 250lb burly men. It promotes homosexuality, feminism, and interracial relationships and the MAJORITY of the cast is definitely minority... Another anti white show that thankfully failed...

I've never read any books. I liked the first Season. It wasn't the best I've ever seen but I liked the actors and it reminded me of low budget fantasy series from the 90ties. The story was actually interesting, I loved the connection between modern world and fantasy world and it ended with suspense so I was really interested what was going to happen in Season2. Unfortunately Season2 obviously got passed to another network, it took 100 years to make and when it started it sucked. The plot was dragging all over the place, the acting got worse and had many copy-paste story elements from you're typical low budget series. Everything was so predictable and unbelievable. So yeah, Season1 is watchable, skip Season2.

I thought this was such a beautiful series from costume to effects to location to oh gosh everything! The people who are highly disappointed by this seem to be those that wanted it to be just like the books, and HELLO we know what THOSE people are like. they are the ones that after you just got done watching an amazing film and you are on highs walking out of the theater go, "YEAH BUT IT WAS NOTHING LIKE THE BOOKS..." and BOOM the buZZKILL! Not too mention how annoying they actually are. seriously do yourself a favor and WATCH, it's amazing and SO SO SO WORTH IT!
