The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.

There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.

The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.

I can say just one thing ,,a big shame from "abc" to canceled this rare and beautiful show. The story line is amazing that contain mystery and magic, acting is solid with possibility to getting better as character develop in the future.Sad is that the many less good TV show get a second chance but this TV show no ? Beside the story line and the hole concept of the show, this show contain a very edge of reality that we living, old /new magic and fantasy in the same time, nice mix of parallel reality. Conclusion is that this or similar rare thematic shows get a chance,i will always remember a "Jodorowsky" dune as example. Probably this as comic book or animation will made a much better success the TV show because of freedom.

You would expect Steven Spielberg not to lend its name to just about anything but with this pathetic excuse of a series it seems to be the case. It has a promising start, an interesting plot but it just keeps getting worse and worse. They choose the Amazon river for scenario but forget to check what language is spoken there and simply go along with Spanish. Well, in Brazil people speak Portuguese. Would it be so hard to find actors that speak Portuguese instead of Spanish? The girl that seems to know everything about the local legends and myths happens to be Venezuelan which is quite far away from the Amazon. And the colonizers are British, when no British has ever set foot near the amazon river. Only Portuguese and Spanish. It is just a big insult to Brazil and Latin Americans in general, as if all countries and people are one big blur. All of this would be more easily tolerated if the plot was any good but is terrible. Absolutely awful. Truly a ridiculous series.

It's OK but the acting isn't really great in the start. Lena and the rest overdo it. The music and sound effects are also too much sometimes. It needs to be more on the background to get me in. Also when Lena leaves her dad please get the other boat out of the shot. It's almost in there for 20 seconds. Not so tight Spielberg. The rest is decent enough to keep watching. Although the Blair Witch camera effect isn't that original. To fill the 10 lines (ugh) The other reviews I read hear are a little bit too positive. A good review should give inside on bad and good angles. Not only positive. That will undermine your opinion.

Seriously? what did he have to do with this because the acting is terrible! The plot is really cool and I admit I saw the trailer in my hotel room and thought it was amazing. But I honestly do not know for the life of me how they picked these actors! Seriously, the only one of them that can kind of act isn't even in really there in the first episode! I think that this is one of those scripts that was written for a movie and some producers got their hands on it and thought about a way for shooting a "tv movie" in the form of a series to see if they can make the next "Lost". I also found something interesting. Please go check the information about the statistics on the polling. Its quite interesting reading them as you find out Male / Female and the age bracket of people that are watching this! The highest score on IMDb being the category of girls under the age of 18. I laughed a bit. Saying all this, its quite a giggle and does past the time quite well....
