Overrated

Wow! What a bizarre film! Unfortunately the few funny moments there were were quite overshadowed by it's completely weird and random vibe throughout.

It's a movie as timely as it is provocative and amazingly, for much of its running time, it is weirdly funny.

It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.

The Partner is a reality TV show where businessman Marcus Lemonis seeks a business leader from a pool of candidates to help him manage his businesses and a contract and stake in Marcus' portfolio.Much of the reality shows on TV are obvious non-fiction, but filmed and written with the ultimate goal of game-playing, Hollywood star power and entertainment value - shows like "Survivor," "The Biggest Loser" and "Hell's Kitchen." However, shows like "The Partner" involve more real, serious situations in which the action and choices made by the show's people will effect their everyday lives, and have the ability to effect the world as well.This show is all about business management, personal acumen, making calculated decisions, financial skills and transforming work in successes or failure. There is no game-play, nor overzealous drama, no voting off your fellow contestants, but real teamwork, self-awareness, and making choices - all with some entertainment and suspense mixed in. Great stuff here! Grade A
