Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.

Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.

I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

The best ever, it's addicting. you can't stop watching it. Best show known to date on this planet. Spanks anything that's on television. Give this man the world and everything in it. You can't get no better. If I got lost in the swamp, I'd want to be found by The Legend. Adding in the logs too would be good on this show. We need more Ax Men and this show. Pronto please. Please Dear God, show more of this man and his daisy dukes and ladies underwear. Can't get enough of him and his gorilla hands cousin. Please give them the world, they deserve it. Omg, my bagonneas miss this man and his wise decisions and failures. Wish he was my dad.

I have now watched almost all of the episodes from the opening season. This man is wild and crazy but very entertaining! But I guess that is what it takes to survive in the Louisiana Bijou. He seems to be quite an interesting character with a heart of gold that would give you the shirt off of his back if he thought you needed the help. I'm not a fan of reality shows, and have often wondered why this is something that would be on the History Channel, but I thoroughly enjoyed watching each episode, and will be watching the rest that I missed as soon as I'm able to find them. If you don't like us country boys and rednecks, then just flip the channel because you probably wouldn't understand or be entertained by Shelby Stanga!

It's not the best show but it really shows how life is in such a "civilized" country. He's a humble man that pays back what he takes. I love all these butt-hurt kids that wouldn't last a day in his shoes (or bare feet) that give him a negative rating because they can't understand life isn't like their life in a sheltered white suburb. His way of life is not as easy or spoon fed as most people that reviewed and that's why they gave it negative reviews : they can't relate. This is a part of the country that takes brains and brawn to live in. If I was lost in a swamp, i'd hope to come across a man like Shelby. Also I love the kid talking about GUN HAPPY. Hey, kiddo, you need a gun to survive in that part of the country. Enjoy fighting an alligator without a weapon you dope smoking hippie. All in all, it's a story of a humble man that lives in the swamp and pays back everyone he ever asks help from. He might be silly and goofy but deep inside he has more knowledge of survival then all the reviewers put together.

Seriously a TERRIBLE show. It belongs on TLC with Honey Boo Boo, not on History. It's disgusting and it's stupid. It's also a waste of a time slot that could be used for a show people actually want to watch like Ancient Aliens or Pawn Stars or really any other History or H2 show. What History is there in watching a man go through a swamp flinging snakes? Or washing his butt on a freaking hose pipe? Or running through a mall with no shoes? I don't know why anyone would watch this. It is a stupid show. It makes no sense why it's on History. I know that most of the shows on the History Channel aren't exactly history, but at least Pawn Stars and American Pickers have people come in and explain the history of the items and don't gross me out.
