It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.

It is interesting even when nothing much happens, which is for most of its 3-hour running time. Read full review

After playing with our expectations, this turns out to be a very different sort of film.

Acting somewhat as the slightly less attractive, less amusing younger brother of Alan Partridge and, more specifically, Partridge's Knowing Me, Knowing You, this takes the chat show format and gives it a spoof spin. Here though, instead of interviewing actors 'in character', Rob Brydon's Keith Barret interviews real-life celebrity couples, in a bid to gain an insight into the reasons behind his own recent divorce. And it is pretty amusing stuff.Brydon is a likable enough presence at any time and here he seems in his element, ripping into his celebrity guests with some venom.Of course, the format lives and dies by the quality of the guests and, on occasion, it does fall a little flat.Still, I laughed more than I usually do when watching TV comedy.

The Keith Barret show is a hilarious spin off from Rob Brydon's 'Marion and Geoff', where Keith Barret comes out of his car and onto a chat show.Keith Barret interviews celebrity couples like Richard and Judy and Ronnie and Anne Corbett and the show works really well. The comedy style is more accessible and less dark than Marion and Geoff, but its still really good. There are a few moments in the series that can be a little dull but there aren't many. Also, his constant use of his catchphrase 'It's a bit of fun' gets a little bit annoying after a while. Lets hope this series gets a DVD treatment.Overall this is a great show, and its great to see the character Keith again. Its very funny and its worth checking out. As Keith would say, it's a bit of fun.
