The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

I'm not a fan of sit-com, but decided to give it a shot because I absolutely love Sarah Michelle Gellar and I think Robin Williams is a really good actor, so I was curious about it. Now, five episode in and I love it!! The pilot was so funny I watched it five or six times the same day and I couldn't stop laughing. Sarah Michelle Gellar and Robin Williams totally SLAYED it, and even though I'd never seen the rest of the cast before, I liked them straight away. The pilot was something quite refreshing and funny, and I couldn't wait to see more. I gotta say my favorite episodes so far are The Pilot, e3 Bad Dad and e5 She's so European. e3 Bad Dad got me bursting into laughter while I was having lunch, I almost chocked on my spaghetti, because there were a few situations that really reminded me of me. Not gonna say what situations they were, don't want to give you any spoilers, but I don't remember the last time I laughed so hard, so I definitely recommend watching this show. The cast is really good, there's good chemistry on the set, and I love it. One more thing that I like is that there is no annoying laughter in the background: it always just makes me mad when people laugh and I don't find it funny. I can just laugh whenever I want, and trust me, I laugh much more than with any other sit-com. I love that Robin plays a wacky Simon, while Sarah is his down to earth daughter Sydney, who occasionally shows her crazier side. Them two make a great team and I just can't wait to see what crazy things they'll come up with. This show really deserves 10 stars, and many more seasons!

Another show claiming to be based in Chicago. This show is not filmed in Chicago and it shows. There was a driving scene and nothing looked like Chicago.People from Chicago don't refer to it as Lake Michigan, it's "The Lake" It drives me nuts when shows do things like this. If you're going to make a show based in Chicago, make an effort. Heck film the show in the town, it will be so much more real and better.Look at Chicago Fire, CF screams Chicago. They did there homework, and they film there. Makes the show real and you get the feeling of the town.Aside from the horrible non-Chicago feel, the show is OK. Some of the jokes are funny. I really like Robin Williams and it's too bad he got caught up in this.If you're listening "The crazy one's" do a little homework and make the show real.

I am so disappointed with this series. I was looking forward to the Robin Williams I grew up watching and was hoping for a series my kids could watch and laugh at. I don't even dare turn on the episodes unless they are not even in the house. It is completely full of inappropriately disgusting sexual innuendo. I couldn't finish watching the latest episode. I was trying really hard to give it some time but I am done watching. So sorry this was the best they could come up with for Robin Williams. :( Terrible plot, too. The daughter should not have to try and suck up but she be honored for the qualities she can bring.

It's funny how the first few reviews are quite negative and nearly all after are more or less stellar. As for my wife and I, we've watched three episodes and nary a smile has reshaped our lips. Seems like they are basically depending on Williams to ad-lib the funny stuff, and either he's just not that funny anymore or he has nothing to work with. And to make matters worse, they try to ad some sap at the end (as is so common in today's sitcoms) to tug at your heartstrings. How 'bout just going "It's Always Sunny in Philladelphia" people and trying to be nothing more than funny? I realize people have different tastes, so I imagine some do legitimately like this show, but as for my wife and I, we won't be making an effort to watch any more episodes. I suspect there won't be many more anyway.
