In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.

Clever and entertaining enough to recommend even to members of the 1%

There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.

i don't think that any of you realise that this show was a truly amazing show. Like others have pointed out, it did get off to a slow start, but so did Friends. Where other sitcoms focus on joke-situation-solution-joke-joke formats, this show DEVELOPED its characters. All the genuine fans of this show are the people who actually appreciate deeper comedy and characters as opposed to non-stop one-liners.I believe comparing it to "2 and a Half Men" is a shameful and insulting comment.A great show that will truly be missed by those who appreciated it, and truly loved the characters.

When I first started watching 'The Class', I didn't connect with all the characters straight away. As the season progressed and the characters opened up, it didn't take long for them to grow on me.As a fan of 'Friends', I can't say that this matches it completely but I have to say it comes close. The jokes are rather similar, using a lot of sarcasm along the way, and a few scenes have made me laugh out loud. However, as you may expect, some of the gags were rather a cliché and obvious. I like the lack of music during scene changes, it makes the show feel less like the usual US sitcom and makes a change from 'Friends'. The laughter track lets it down a little although some scenes would appear quite empty without it.My personal favourite has to be Richie Velch. He has made me laugh the most and I enjoy his sarcasm, in some ways he is like Chandler from 'Friends'. However, I managed to find a connection with all of the characters and felt for them when things didn't go quite the way they wanted.Overall, I would recommend 'The Class' to anyone who enjoys a light hearted comedy, it has something for everyone and will make anticipate the next episode. It's not perfect but it deserves at least an 8/10 from me and I really hope it returns for a second season.

This is the funniest sit-com that came out of the new season! But, where is Holly Ellenbogan?? Her and her "gay" husband were so funny. Does anyone know, has she been written out of the show? I hope this is a show that will last for more seasons. We haven't had a funny show like this since Seinfeld. I love the fact that the cast is brand-new to us, and the characters have evolved into their own. Richie is priceless, and the relationship he and Lena have is so great. Thanks CBS for bringing back the wacky sit-com! If anyone knows if this will be back next season, post it here. I can't wait for Monday nights just to watch!

If you have seen Friends, the writing will feel very familiar. Especially the last 3 or 4 seasons of Friends often share the same comedy setups. The show is about a group of people whose connection is that they shared the same class when they were still rather young (about 10 years old I think). Now, they're in their mid-twenties, and they meet again on a class reunion. This is where the series starts.A typical episode deals with multiple story lines at once. They're usually not connected in any way. Each story line is cut up into multiple sections, which are then shown in a mixed order. The sketches is where my problems lie with this series. As in the later seasons of Friends, it's often a rather silly setting with hard to believe situations. One of the main characters does something really stupid that's hard to believe. The situation is then heavily exaggerated, as if it wasn't silly enough. If you're into this kind of in-your-face humor, then maybe you'll like this series. For me it is a great turn-off.The reason I started watching Friends is because of the first few seasons. There are interesting and especially credible story lines, with some romance in it that makes you root for the characters. The Class has none of this. The characters are simply too forced and stereotypes are pushed too far. It's therefore not possible to relate to them and like them.At least with friends, it took several seasons before it ran out of steam and the character traits were all milked out. But in The Class, it seems it has run out of steam before it even started.
