This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

It's pretty funny that the best Star Wars story set in the prequel era comes as a miniseries that aired on Cartoon Network of all places, from 2003 to 2004. I believe this series to be superior to the 2008 computer animated version (which is still pretty good), and far superior to the three live action films. The series has many subplots, each showing a different characters situation during the famous Clone War. These include showing well known characters like Anakin and Obi-Wan, and also minor characters, like Luminary Unduli and Barriss Offee. While these aren't connected in story, they are connected in the theme of war and how it changes people, something touched on but not really explored in depth in the live action prequel films. The animation is fantastically stylised, and in my opinion, is far better than the 3D animation from the later Clone Wars series. Characters move in fluid motions, and the voices are well synced up to the mouths of the characters. Each character looks a lot like their live action counterparts, and for the most part, they sound pretty similar too.The characters introduced in this series are great. Asaaj Ventress, later popularised in the 3D series, is given an introduction and an ending in this, which is more than she got in the later series. General Grievous is awesome in this, a far cry from the wheezing coward seen in Revenge of the Sith. There is a great scene in which Grievous single-handedly dispatches of numerous Jedi, which really sells how powerful his character is.It does have flaws, which is a disappointment, seeing how great the rest of the series is, such as some really bland voice acting, in particular, Mat Lucas as Anakin, who makes Hayden Christensen look positively amazing. There is also the case of the Jedi being even more over-powered than they are in the live action prequels. There is a part where Mace Windu destroys a whole army of battle Droids just by using the force, which begs the question as to why he didn't do that at the end of Attack of the Clones. But overall, I really love this series, and how it perfectly connects Episodes II and III of the saga. Now, it had sadly been rendered non-canon, and does raise questions in continuity if watched along side the 3D version, but really, I'd rater watch this series anyway.

You have to watch the episodes in the correct chronological order, which is weird but hey its star wars what else do you expect. But when you do it is fantastic. It makes the whole pre-quel movies so much better especially revenge of the sith. You see how close anakin and kenobe are. But the real greatness of the show is ashoka and her relationship with anakin skywalker. After season 5 you understand why anakin goes against the jedi, when previously you really didn't get a complete picture from just watching the movie. And of course Ventress is a fantastic story line. That being said there are episodes that are for kids, and obnoxious. But they are bearable.

I hoped for nice Star Wars Cartoon with a nice story, good drawings and kool characters. But instead I got this...I think everything about this movie was really bad. The whole style how it is painted.. it reminds me of some old Hanna Barberba Cartoons. The story was like.. I can't even say what exactly has been the story just by watching this "cartoon". You have to watch at least Star Wars Episode 2 to understand a little whats going on.The Action was about 95% of this whole cartoon. And this action was really annoying because it always happened the same thing. Bang bang here, bang bang here, if you would count the shots I think there will be about 2000 or more. There was practically no dialogue.I recommend to keep your fingers away from this B-Movie Action Cartoon drawn like a mix of Heavy Metal Fakk 1 and the Jetsons.

From the creator of "Dexter's Laboratory" (once my favorite kids' show) comes an unjustly praised exercise in beating up "Star Wars" for more lunch money. Genndy Tartakovsky's brilliantly surreal animation is here, but this is supposed to be (at least remotely) dramatic, so the style doesn't fit. In fact, the characters look like goofy sub-par video game renderings that make this feel like a clunky, fan-fodder horror from beyond. The truth is, this is not just a miserable story, it's a miserable way to tell a miserable story, destroying all hope for half-decency. In context, nothing in this drivel can feel quite real. If you really want to see "Star Wars," you'd find more in the dreadfully stupid "Attack of the Clones" than this, which was little more than a piece of meat thrown to the ravening masses. If you have millennia of patience and don't experience headaches induced by severe stupidity and banality, enjoy.
