This show is the best anime of all time. I don't understand how no one has realized this. It has a deep story, an amazing cast, perfect visuals, and an amazing soundtrack. My only complaint is that I can't give an 11. This is truly my favorite anime, and I hope you will all watch it and agree. It has deep and heavy topics, as well as tons of symbolism. Please watch the show, it will change your life. I implore you to go in blind and be immersed into the lore. You won't regret it. It even has the best themesong of all time. I watch this show religiously, and I praise Sega for it. They need to reboot it in all honesty.

Wow! This is a really cute, fun, and entertaining show based on a series of classic video gamesgame. I said that because I watch this on DVD with my 5-year-old nephew from time to time. It's hard to say which which episode I like the best. Still it's really cute, fun, and entertaining show based on a series of classic video games. Also, it's hard to say which mishap is my favorite. In addition, I love it when the line, "I hate that hedgehog!" is yelled. Before I wrap this up, I'd like to say that the people at DiC Enterprises and NCircle really know how to entertain children of all ages. Now, in conclusion, if you have children, nieces, or nephews, I strongly recommend this really cute, fun, and entertaining show based on a series of classic video games. I guarantee you that they will enjoy it.

Sonic Underground was a little bit like the SatAM series but not a whole lot because all the other freedom fighters from the SatAM are left out and so is Snively and the power rings. But at least this series still has the whole robotisizing thing. Another thing is that Sonic's Uncle Chuck was only in the first episode and they never see each other again. Another thing that was different was the way the SwatBots looked in this series. Sonic Underground is the 3rd Sonic cartoon that came out 2 years later after Sonic the Hedgehog (SatAM) was canceled again off of USA Network showing reruns. In this cartoon, Sonic and his siblings Manic (Sonic's brother) and Sonia (Sonic's sister) are the hit rock 'n' roll band on Mobius called the Sonic Underground but in reality they are the children of the lost Queen Aleena, the queen of Mobius. Now Sonic, Manic and Sonia must fight Dr. Robotnik and save the planet Mobius and find their mother with the aid of their medallions. I missed Tails and the other freedom fighters from the 1993 ABC Series but at least I was glad that Knuckles the Echidna was in this series because I think Knuckles is one of my favorite characters in the whole Sonic the Hedgehog franchise along with Sonic! Plus I thought Manic and Cyrus were cool characters also! Especially Manic because Manic has that lay back and be cool sort of attitude plus I think he looks cool! The only one thing I didn't like about this show was Gary Chalk doing the voice of Dr. Robotnik because he didn't make Dr. Robotnik sound scary and evil! I think Jim Cummings should have done this Sonic cartoon just like he did the voice of Dr. Robotnik from the ABC SatAM version. Or I think Mark Hamill would have done a good job at doing the voice of Dr. Robotnik since he is pretty good at doing creepy villain voices. But the only thing I liked about Dr. Robotnik in this series was that he looked exactly the same as he did in the SatAM Sonic cartoon! Also I liked Robotnik's bounty hunters, Sleet and Dingo. I liked Sleet better than Dingo because I thought Sleet was cool looking and I thought Maurice LaMarche was excellent to provide the voice of Sleet! Dingo I thought was stupid and funny. I didn't think Dingo was stupid as in I didn't like him he is just stupid as in not very smart as Sleet. Why did this show have to last only one season? I think this show deserved more than one season! Just like the Sonic SatAM cartoon got to have more than one season! I first discovered this series when I was checking what was on TV the next day and I saw Sonic Underground on there and I asked myself, "Since when did Sonic come up with another cartoon?". At first I thought it would be a series that picked up where Sonic the Hedgehog (SatAM) left off but instead it sort of looked like a spin-off or a prequel. This series was pretty good along with Sonic the Hedgehog (SatAM) and Sonic X! This show came out in fan's favor of wanting a new Sonic series; however, they became mortified to found out there would be no reference to the original Freedom Fighters many of us had grown to love. Some complained that the Saturday morning Sonic strayed from the games, but this series strays from everything Sonic. The only two characters we know are Sonic and Robotnik; Tails and the others have been replace by Sonic's stereotypical sister Sonia and thieving brother Manic. Snively and Naugus have been replaced by two henchmen known as Sleet the tricky wolf, and Dingo the stupid... well, dingo.In the 1993 - 95 series, a great message was sent to younger viewers as Bunnie struggled to use her handicap to the best of her abilities. In Sonic Underground, many wrong messages are sent as Sonia is the picture of stereotypical girls. She's always worried about her hair and looks; younger girls who watch this will think they need to be like this. Manic is constantly lock picking and stealing from others, which is definitely not something good for children to see, especially since it's most often used to their advantage. These shows shouldn't be used as role models anyway, but certainly there were better messages sent out in SatAM.Another problem is though the show is aimed for younger viewers, many times the plot would be hard to follow for them. In Mobodoon, the writes assumed all viewers have a background of the musical Brigadoon. When Manic explains about Mobodoon appearing once in a great while, he speaks too fast to be understood, so it may be confusing for some. Another instance was when Manic was trying to sneak into Robotnik headquarters and the 'camera' shows a blinking light behind him, and the next time we see him, he's being thrown in a cell by SWaTBots. The blinking light was obviously a camera of some kind, but younger children won't comprehend that. Along this line, the show contains many flashing bright light sequences that can't be good for the eyes. In a few episodes, I had to turn my head or close my eyes to stop my eyes from hurting. People with epilepsy are cautioned.Finally, the characters from Sega have completely gone out of character. Knuckles, who in Sonic adventure claims 'he doesn't need a possy' and 'independence is his first step' has Sonia as his girlfriend. They even have a kissing scene together! Sonic, who used to be cool and 'never gives up the fight', has become week and deathly afraid of water. The love he has for his brother and sister are peanuts to the love he had for Sally in the SatAM series.One good thing is the songs in the episodes are usually done quite well, but the singing voices don't always sound like the characters. Singing once in a while is good, but in every episode, it gets old fast. The songs will sometimes come at bad time during something exciting, which will seem less exciting then. Other times, the songs will be the plot filler which is really annoying.Poor writing, the lack of well-known and loved characters and confusion are what make this series a shame to carry the name of Sonic the Hedgehog.
