Great Film overall

Excellent but underrated film

The acting is good, and the firecracker script has some excellent ideas.

The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.

I watched the entire series waiting for something to happen. if I had only read the majority of reviews first, I would've known to expect NOTHING to happen. I especially didn't appreciate the lack of subtitles on the final chapter when all was (supposedly) to be revealed. To sum up: The series SUCKED. I didn't know who the killer at the beginning and failed to realize the killer at the end! Is it just me on this point?

Amy Adam's is a favorite but this is the slowest moving series I've ever watched. I'm on the latest episode and keep waiting for it to pick up or at least something exciting to happen , but it doesn't. Boring and repetitive.

This is just flat out bad. Endless, mostly senseless flashbacks and a confused and disjointed plot struggling to find some direction. One could probably just watch the first and last episodes and see all you need. It's just not enjoyable watching someone who is constantly drinking to extreme in nearly every scene. This show is a "dull object".

This is just cliched, miserable and indulgent. As another of your reviewers said. A broken woman; smoking, drinking, full of ennui, two dimensional, presents as a thoroughly unlikeable person and surrounds herself with equally empty characters. Am sure this is Amy Adams pitch for a slice of the pie 'big lies' gave her contemporaries but it would be a travesty if she got one. What happened to story telling which encouraged to connect with people? Awful, truly awful.
