Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.

There is definitely an excellent idea hidden in the background of the film. Unfortunately, it's difficult to find it.

Sealab 2021 is one of those shows that just grows on you. With it's wacky characters, bizarre, off-the-wall humor and recurring story lines, you can't help but fall in love with this show. What's it about, you ask? Well, it's basically about a group of marine scientists who live in an underwater aquatic research facility who get into all kinds of wacky adventures. Whether it be Captian Murphy becoming addicted to spider venom while trapped under a vending machine, the crew taken hostage by strange alternate versions of themselves, or the whole being stuck in a closet bickering with one another, you know there's going to be something crazy on every week. The voice acting is excellent as well, and I can't count how many times I've laughed at some of the deadpan deliveries the voice actors make.Bottom Line: Pick up the DVD set as soon as you can.

Seasons 1, 2 and 3 were the glory days of Sealab 2021. When Harry Goz, the voice talent of the main character Captain Murphy, died, things started to take a turn downhill.Shanks, a football coach that appeared in the episode "Tornado Shanks" in season 4, replaces Murphy in the following seasons. There are some funny episodes, but some of them make a long-time Sealab fans cringe at the sight. Sealab has never really recovered from Harry Goz's untimely death. If you want to see the best of Sealab, pick up seasons 1, 2 & 3. After that, watch at your own risk.Seasons 1, 2 and 3 get a solid 9/10 in my book. Sealab 2021 did a lot for Adult Swim before Aqua Teen Hunger Force took the main stage. I still watch Sealab, but sometimes it's very painful. Newer episodes like to borrow ideas from the earlier seasons to try and represent it and make it still funny. Doesn't always work too well. However season 5 continues to show more promise, and season 6 is in talks - and I actually look forward to that. I would definitely avoid season 4, I don't know what happened there but it is awful. Now though, I think the crew at Williams Street finally got its edge back and Sealab is beginning to pick up speed again. I'd like to see Sealab be consistently funny again.I hope Sealab is put to rest on a good note. But until that day, I am sure there are plenty more great Sealab episodes to come.

At first I couldn't believe that a 11 min. show could be so good, but now after watching many episodes of Sealab I've changed my mind. After I watched my first episode I thought it was too all over the place but now I've gotten used to it and it's easier to follow the story. My favorite character is Quinn because he is the most sane on board and he tries to keep the crew from going completely crazy, even though they usually do by the end of the episode. This is just an all-around good show that is going in a direction that I'm happy is being explored. One more thing though, I'm not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing that I can watch an 11 minute show and feel like they could have cut some parts out and made it a better episode.

This show has turned me into an instant "Sea Monkey". It's hilarious, I mean laugh out loud funny, with the added kitsch factor of Erik "Mailbox Head" Estrada portraying a marine biologist. If you're looking for me Sunday nights at 11:45, then this is where you'll find me.Yo, Cartoon Network, think that maybe you can stop playing one of the dozens of annoying, lame installments of "The Land Before Time" one weekend to run all of these episodes back-to-back?
