    I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

    If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.

    The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

    Beth gets a second chance at life, family, and friends after she accidentally chokes on a sandwich. God has intervened and helped this misguided, alcoholic, joke of the neighborhood, become the person she has always wished she was.As someone who has nothing up with religion, I was skeptical to watch this Series. The mainly reason to watch it, was for Anne Heche. This is however not a pro- or anti-religious show. The show dares to bring God into the storyline, but with a contemporary approach. The moral and ethical messages are funny and light carried out.Heche shows her outstanding comedic timing and facial mimic in this Show. She makes an unlikely character touchy and believable. The rest of the cast are not in her league, but the acting is more than decent.Especially the first 3-4 episode are funny and well written from then on the director is rushing through the story and the show gets less enjoyable. The show is fast paced and the format of 20- 25 minutes suits it well. This comedy is different but better than the average sit-com.

    Okay. I just signed up so that I can comment on "Save Me." Hope it will help bring the show back. Today is Thursday. My husband and I were so looking forward to watching this show tonight, but, unfortunately, I hear there are no more episodes? Am I right?Anne Heche is perfect in her role as Beth Harper. She is neurotic but lovable. She is dead-set on obeying the "Voice," no matter how crazy it may be.Because of its title, we were initially hesitant to watch this show because we thought it would bash on Christians. Oh, but we were so pleasantly surprised. We literally laughed out loud throughout most of the episodes. It is charming, hilarious, witty, well-written, no hidden agenda - well, maybe one: Love one another.Please bring it back!!!! We want to watch more!!

    Even a non believer should be able to appreciate Save Me as a positive influence on our society and it's entertaining in the process. The references to God are deliberately vague and open to interpretation. I can give an example. Whether she is psychotic or listing to Yoda is left for you to decide. At the same time it manages to be uplifting when it reminds people to Be: Kind, Humble, Loving, Non-Judgemental. A major lesson in the show is the importance of wearing someone down with your love. Being consistently and persistently loving usually provides the cure. While being a little simplistic it's still a good message for American Viewers. It has to be better than the reality shows which show people being demeaned and humiliated and judged as unworthy. Refreshing!

    Not crazy about the writing or directing. Writers and the Director are rushing through the story.Anne Heche is delightful. I just read her Bio. I couldn't place her at first. The last time I saw her was in "Men in Trees". For better or worse, I must admit that her relationship with Ellen kind of spoiled that series for me in the sense that her real life sexual preferences had an impact on the believability of the show. Only now do understand that she had taken heterosexuality back up by the time that show aired.Knowing about her personal bouts with her self-admitted "insanity" as a child and adult will make this series much more delicious.
