Really Surprised!

... View MoreIf you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.
... View MoreIf you have suffered any TV serial on Indian television in the last decade, you will immediately fall in love with this show for its quick pace, visual appeal, background score, the intriguing plot and honest look at India's religious-political system. Kudos to the makers of the show and Netflix. The acting by Siddiqui, Saif, Kabi, Joshi, Sarna, Vatsa will have you glued to the show all through the first season, especially Siddiqui who is a pleasure to watch. It does feel like we finally have a show in the same league as Narcos.BUT....(and that's a big but right there)...By the end of season one, I was actually waiting for the show to end. The show seems to have run out of steam for me. It leans heavily on Siddiqui's gritty acting. The RAW people are portrayed as chumps, including Ms.Apte who seemed like a bumbling idiot rather than a gutsy crime-fighter. No attempt is likely going to be made in shaping their characters in the next season, what with Sameer Kochar holding the fort there with zero acting skills. Most of the good actors have already been killed off. I don't look forward to seeing stone-faced Luke Kenny and this new big villain who I suspect is a gross casting error. They tried to create different shades to Sartaj Singh's character by giving him a wife who he still pines for, the anxiety pills he takes, the ethical dilemma he faces at work, his low-performance and the shadow of his dad and his association with Gaitonde lurking in his conscience. But that's all over now and now we have a trigger-happy John McClane for Sartaj and Saif won't be able to keep us believing that he can act. Season 2, I suspect, is therefore going to be a massive flop. No amount of cussing and nudity is going to save it.
