I love this movie so much
... View MoreBest movie ever!
... View MoreThe movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
... View MoreWorth seeing just to witness how winsome it is.
... View MoreThis was actually an extension of the James Earl Jones series "Gabriel's Fire". It features James Earl Jones and Richard Crenna as two rather different private detectives. While the premise isn't exactly original, they played up their respective ages and skills using their various talents. Don Ameche played Richard Crenna's father and most episodes had either a running gag or a nice sense of humour. While mixing crime and humour wasn't original, it was enjoyable and probably fell by the wayside due to its similarity to a lot of other shows that were around at the time. I believe only a few episodes were made. (I seem to remember seeing at least 10).
