A film with more than the usual spoiler issues. Talking about it in any detail feels akin to handing you a gift-wrapped present and saying, "I hope you like it -- It's a thriller about a diabolical secret experiment."

Of all the TV shows created by Ryan Murphy, this was the most interesting one in my opinion.Despite the extremely cynical and bitter nature of the show (This is the kind of series where if anything could go wrong, it will go wrong in the worst imaginable way) it also managed to be a solid work of entertainment, tackling many controversial issues in a non- condescending and unpredictable way.For me, the highest point of the series was the mystery of the Carver during the second and third season of the series (Which for me, it always will be far more thrilling and unsettling than anything from any season of "American Horror Story"). After the identity of this character was finally revealed, the series started to run out of steam and I stopped watching it, but those first 3 seasons were still a memorable experience anyway.

The Shield is the first show that helped out F/X putting it on the map in 2002. With it's gritty drama of police work. Well, a show about plastic surgeons helped to increase the network which was shrugging eight years to find an audience when it came on in 1994.It has two best friends that are of course, plastic surgeons. Dylan Walsh former B-movie actor, plays the older and responsible. But troubled brother with a marriage crumbling and two kids who resent him not being there for them. Then there is TV Australian vet, Julian McMahan as the cocky older younger doctor. Who loves wine, women, and song. And is unethical as they come.Still the show's sexy ways and the world of plastic surgery helped put the network on the map in a big time way!

What can I say? Ryan Murphy's a genius! Nip/Tuck's one of cable TV's landmark guilty pleasures. Murphy's said that NT was meant to be a love story between two straight guys. Of course it's also about people wanting to be perfect and being gravely disappointed. And yet there's still much more to the show. The first 2 seasons were the best, as many people agree. A bit more emphasis on psychological drama, but still a wicked sense of humor. The last 3 seasons became even more lurid, the 5th season turning into a parody of itself as the doctors moved their practice to Los Angeles.Either way, Nip/Tuck is a landmark cable soap opera that was funny, disturbing, kinky, and so many other things. Basically a bit of everything. As for the "moral majority" groups who talked many sponsors into pulling out of NT, this is America. It was "Soap" all over again. When that show came out in the late '70s, a lot of decency groups tried to talk people out of watching it. It annoyed my dad, who was one of the many soldiers who fought to defend the right our free speech. I felt similarly about those who boycotted NT and insulted those of us who watched it.

I've watched season 1-5 of nip/tuck and I am waiting for season six to be available in my part of the world.Season one was no doubt the best. The way that the drug-dealer Escobar wiggled his way into their lives, got total control over them and forced them to remove the drug-loaded breast-implants from the poor "mules" was very catchy and I couldn't wait for the next episode. Then came the final episode where they changed the guy into another FBI-wanted criminal and he just thought he was looking good until he showed up at the airport. That last episode was amazing and I was totally stunned by the twist and plot of the series. REALLY REALLY GOOD! Then the second and third season were a little boring with all the stuff about Matt partying around with a transvestite shrink and psycho-nazi girlfriend/father. But of course there were still good times, like when Christian were in bed with a mother and daughter and he seemed to be having a deep conversation with the mother, interrupting it to say "a little less teeth down there, sweetheart" to the daughter was of course a typical "christian troy moment".Season 5 however took on a new action as the boys were now in LA kicking it and getting to be celebrities in TV shows. Sean got that older woman to be his agent and she turned out to be a crazy, teddy-bear-stuffing woman. The last episode I've watched ended with her stabbing Sean in the operating room and him laying on the floor bleeding to death, so I am pretty anxious about seeing the next episode :) Sorry to spoil up the entire series like this, but I am mostly writing to other fans who have seen the same episodes as me.
