Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!

... View MoreIt really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.
... View MoreThere are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.
... View MoreI started watching Iron Fist immediately when it came out but I knew only a very little about his lore and honestly I enjoyed the show but it didn't really blow me away, it was the "eh its okay I guess" category. But then years later, when I heard that there's a 2nd season coming I said to myself, I have nothing to watch lets rewatch this show and by God was I surprised. After all the details from watching all the other Marvel Netflix shows (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Defenders) this show just somehow became a thoroughly enjoyable experience. There are SO many references and hints and plot points that you will not understand on a first watch especially not if you haven't watched The Defenders yet or the other Marvel Netflix shows. I do not want to spoil it for people who, I suggest go back and experience it all again. I expected Iron fist to just constantly use his powers when I first watched it and was disappointed that he didn't, as I called it back then "there's not enough iron fisting".Well now that I understand the story a bit better I know why that's the case, Danny's story isn't that of a master, yes he has powers but they're in their infancy still, this is only the start of his story, they never really showed a timeline of how long Danny stayed in Kun Lun after getting the Iron Fist so I didn't pick up on it on a first watch but I'd imagine it was only a couple months at best now after a rewatch.
... View MoreDanny Rand is a real frustrating character and hard to watch. Besides the glowing fist, not much of a disciplined hero at all. Along with Jessica Jones, one of the worst Marvel series. Maybe par with DC Comics' Legends of tomorrow... very bad...
... View MoreThis isn't even about necessarily being "PC" the casting for the lead just doesn't make sense. It is so weird and unnatural seeing a white man portray someone who speaks Japanese and is practicing tai chi and other aspects of Japanese culture... when do we ever see that in real life? It does strike me as appropriation. There's times where it even comes across as comedic. And the actor doesn't even seem like he's feeling it... it feels forced. The white washing is so transparent, here he is, the only character who can fight "the hand" a Japanese drug trafficking fighting group, and... he's white... so the villains who understand martial arts are Japanese, but the hero who also understands martial arts.. is white... why is the only person that can save the city from the evil Japanese a white guy? Hmm... why couldn't they find someone Asian or Japanese to fit this role? Dominic/ D-trix from "so you think you can dance" would've been cool, or someone like him. It just seems rather transparent that the villains and the hero both have Japanese influence but the man to stop them is a white guy who speaks Japanese, mandarin, Chinese, and does martial arts who also happens to be white.... When the iron fist says "my mission is to fight *insert asian name I can't remember here* before falling off a balacany, it was cringe worthy. It looks like a parody... at times it looks like he's making fun of Japanese culture, or like a little boy playing a game. It feels so so very forced. Because again; it's not natural. The acting on the lead's part is poor when he is trying to imitate Japanese culture, and it feels uncomfortable watching. And the fight scenes are anti climatic. There's nothing tactical or martial there honestly. It looks cheap.I thought the concept of this show was silly to begin with; a glowing fist? Really? But when someone told me it "starts out slow and gets better" suggested I check it out, I watched the trailer, and genuinely thought it could be interesting due to the mix of Japanese culture, but.... I think I should've trusted the lack of interest I had in the beginning. I don't have the patience to wait and see if it "picks up the paste" I am rolling my eyes too much at the dialogue. It is just so bad in parts.Parts of this show is intriguing and entertaining, like the relationships between the characters, the history, the tension, and aspects of the villains, but then parts of the dialogue are just too unbearable and cringe worthy. I'm only on episode six and I'm ambivalent as to if I should continue watching or not... Netflix keeps recommended marvel and dark dramas so I have no idea what to watch. I wish it would give me just a smidge more variety. Please give me more Netflix! I thoroughly enjoyed dare devil and Jessica Jones, but this one falls flat in comparison. It lacks depth.
... View MoreOf all supers in the marvel universe.... Danny Rand is BY FAR the worse and so so corny.
