The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.

Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.

It is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film

Written and cast with the typical LA stereotype, and not one to be promulgated unless it is in Portlandia fashion. This show just inflates the miserable baseless ennui of people who love to be miserable without realizing they and those around hem suffer for it. The actors are doing their job well as is the director but the writing is dull and predictable, and there is little consideration of the images they are portraying - especially any accountability on the part of the characters. Perhaps the show would be better called LA Douchebags, at least then the title would be exciting. This is a miserable lackluster G rated version of Californication.

Who doesn't love Actress Judy Greer? She works consistently and seems to pop up just about everywhere with her trademark character; the one we usually love to dislike! Joined by actors Nat Faxon as her husband, Sarah Burns the quirky single mom, Brett Geiman as the nerdy rich friend and Paul Reiser who plays the aging, wise friend Married hits a bullseye on what it's like to be married with kids surrounded by friends/couples who bring loyalty and annoyance. I laugh out loud at the writing which salutes bluntness, sarcasm and reality. Season 2, Episode 7 with veteran actress Joanna Cassidy as Faxon's mother is priceless!

The cast in this show helps elevate it above other sitcoms (but not You're the Worst). The writing itself could be acted in many ways, changing the tone of a story entirely. The dryness the two main characters use make the show great. The cynicism is very evident, and it makes the whole show very funny. Point is, it's really good. Just watch it. Best episode: "The Playdate" This episode just proved that the delivery REALLY helps, everything is done in a fully dry, cynical, and unemotional manner that emphasizes the ridiculousness of it all, or it is very emotional, proving that these characters are real people and can convey emotion.

So far I have enjoyed this show. I knew from the first 2 minutes I would enjoy it and it's brand of humour. And it hasn't let me down. The 4th episode (most recent) I thought was the weakest so far but I'll still continue to watch. I love the casting of both main characters.Without spoiling anything the show is based on crude and lewd sex humour - but is realistic also. So if you don't get it, don't watch it, but this is how the majority of couples live out there. The extra "friend" characters are still a bit hard to follow as to who is dating or married to who, they could have made that a bit clearer I guess.
