    Waste of time

A film with more than the usual spoiler issues. Talking about it in any detail feels akin to handing you a gift-wrapped present and saying, "I hope you like it -- It's a thriller about a diabolical secret experiment."

The movie is wonderful and true, an act of love in all its contradictions and complexity

Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.

This is not a fair competition because no matter what the designer always wins. She gets the money for the renovation; he doesn't always get to list the house. How is that even a fair competition. No matter what she wins in my opinion. Even if he gets the home owners to list the house, she still got the job to renovate the home first! Stupid competition if you ask me!!!

Overall, I like the show and enjoy watching the renovations and seeing the alternative houses, but one thing just really stands out for me that is very annoying, and that is David's entire sales technique! I've never worked with a reputable agent who so totally disregards the client's stated budget. David, however, seems to do so on every episode that I have watched! He shows them the house and then only when they fall in love with it, does he let them know the price. The high-pressure sales tactics are more at home on a used car lot than in the real estate market. David just turns me off.

I disagree with all the negative hype. The show is realistic in pointing out that older homes often have hidden issues. The disappointment when the remodel goes astray may be sincere or faked, but in the end, bring homes the truth. I find it amazing how often the buyers decide to stay even though there wish list couldn't be completed. Immediately sure they look at far more than 3 new houses but for the sake of time only show the 3. If you've ever worked in real estate, the term "Buyers are Liars!!" This show proves that that "must have lists" become shorter. We don't always know what we want and like most things in life, learn what are priorities really are. Love the interaction, tongue in cheek, between these hosts.

Besides the fighting with each other and the Home Owners they are only out to protect their own hides. They don't even acknowledge what the Homeowner would potentially want in a new home and she is atrocious all on her own. Snarky horrible attitude and expects the Home Owner to do what she says when she says it instead of listening to what the Home Owner wants. I seriously have no idea how or why this "show" (sorry it's actually an abysmal sorry excuse of a "show") is on TV. Their so terrible and very nasty. I feel terrible for the Home Owners who have to deal with these two. One woman was pregnant with her fourth child due in less than a month and they were beyond torturing her. Pushing her and her husband into horrible situations. Again I really can't understand how this is on TV. It's a form of abuse actually.
