It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.

Imagine a cross between Fame Academy and Strictly Come Dancing, and that gives you an idea of what this show is like. Presented by Steve Jones and Claudia Winkleman, with announcement by Brian Blessed, and regular judge, dancer Anton Du Beke (from Strictly), this show basically invited six single or teams of celebrities to dance to famous music video and film routines for both comedy and entertainment value, and obviously money from votes would go to Comic Relief. Guest judges included Emma Bunton, Michael McIntyre, Jamelia, Paul O'Grady, model Lisa Snowdon, Dara Ó Briain and Denise Van Outen. Celebrity acts included EastEnders' Cliff Parisi and John Partridge with High School Musical, Christopher Biggins and Nicki Graham with Grease, Robert Webb (winner) with Flashdance, The Chefs (including Nancy Lam and John Burton Race) with Michael Jackson's "Thriller", Les Dennis with Saturday Night Fever, Richard McCourt and Dominic Wood with The Blues Brothers, Jo Brand with Britney Spears' "Baby One More Time", Patrick McGuinness and Keith Lemon (Leigh Francis) with Dirty Dancing, Dragons' Den (Duncan Bannatyne, Peter Jones and Deborah Meaden) with "Let's Face the Music and Dance", Nancy Sorrell and Neil Fox with Christina Aguilera's "Candyman", Dom Joly with MC Hammer's "U Can't Touch This", Zoë Ball and Suggs with Pulp Fiction and Fern Britton with Singin' in the Rain. Both funny and entertaining, I hope there are more series of this show. Very good!
