The acting in this movie is really good.

I hate when they cancel shows that are good. This show took a couple episodes to learn the characters but once it got rolling it was so funny.

This show is hilarious, but Captain Dave is the best. If you don't take life too seriously and enjoy some nonsense for 20 minutes with smart humor and witty banter, this show is for you. I normally watch serious shows with deep content and this show is a nice break from reality.

So unprepared for this to be so funny. I thought Dylan McDermott playing comedy would be a disaster but boy he is piloting Captain Dave to new heights. My husband is a frequent flyer & he laughs out loud at every episode. This cast seems so natural & play off each other well for being newbies. Hope it lasts 3 or 4 seasons & the comedy stays fresh. We all need good laughs right now.

I watched this show originally because I like to give new shows a try and I wasn't expecting much. What I found was a premise that allowed for an organic mix of characters you wouldn't find anywhere else and humor that rivals the glory days of happy endings. The writers rely on you being smart enough to understand humor without needing a laugh track to tell you something is funny and when they do fall back on a punchline it's usually a perfect cherry on top like Bernard discovering he has a fetish when he sees Peter Stormare punching a ventriloquist dummy. Watch this show, tell people to watch this show, otherwise it will be another brilliant missed opportunity from Fox
