What a waste of my time!!!
... View MoreIt’s an especially fun movie from a director and cast who are clearly having a good time allowing themselves to let loose.
... View MoreThere are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.
... View MoreWorth seeing just to witness how winsome it is.
... View MoreAll the users who wrote a comment on "la Dame de Montsoreau" are completely right:this is par excellence what good French miniseries should be .Alexandre Dumas is the best writer,as far as historical novels are concerned ,there are very earnest thespians (Nicolas Silberg,Michel Creton,François Maistre,Maria Meriko,Denis Manuel...) and a luminous heroine played by the beautiful Karin Petersen (who sadly committed suicide in the early eighties). When Bussy sees her for the first time, she seems like an apparition, like a mysterious unreal woman walking through the walls.Dealing with the religious situation in France from the 16 th century,it is an absorbing yarn which is one of the French audience's cult series.
... View MoreI saw this movie only once, in 1985 on TV, still when in USSR. About two decades have passed now, but I still remember this great adaptation from Dumas' famous novel (one of my favourites), and I was very surprised to see it was shot in 1971 - they did a great job, which I would very much like to see again and even buy (unfortunately, it is not available anywhere). Nicolas Silberg was great as Bussy, I would say very beautiful and convincing. And the spirit was very much Dumas' one!
... View MoreGood adaptation of Alexandre Dumas'novel with beautiful actors. Particularly Gerard Berner (Duc d'Anjou). This film very popular in USSR. Many people remember this film.
... View MoreI saw this movie many years ago on Russian TV, but even now I recollect it quite well. It is a very faithful and talented adaptation of Dumas' novel with excellent actors, especially Nicolas Silberg as "le brave Bussy" is unforgettable. If only it was possible to buy this movie on VHS or DVD...
