One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.

This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.

I was barely maintaining interest in this show a couple episodes in. It's like some coked-up lazy-a** studio execs decided to capitalize off the popularity of both "Ready Player One" and "13 Reasons Why" without putting any actual work into it. That was bad enough, but then they went somewhere completely unforgivable. A main character finds out another main character/love interest is (almost definitely) trans and murders them for it. In 2018! AND HE'S NOT THE GD VILLAIN!! Whoever is responsible for this should be ashamed.

I haven't read the book so maybe that's why I can't understand the low rating bc this show is fantastic!! Such a refreshing original idea that was done so well! Give this show a chance! You won't regret it! I can't wait for season 2!

What even what this show? It gave no sense. The teenagers and show gave no meaning, but the concept of the show was cool.

I am getting very tired of filmmakers who think torture is entertainment. It is very frustrating that this season started out with much promise. The lead actress was great. She reminded me of a cross between Saoirse Ronan and Jennifer Grey. I was enjoying the idea of crossing back and forth between the virtual 3D game world and real life. But as the season progressed, more and more time was spent with a sociopath who enjoyed psychological and physical torture. For those who do make it to through the final episode, many will probably be left like I was wondering what just happened. Also, there were many plot holes throughout. For parents reading this review, this series would have been R rated. There were many scenes of frontal nudity that really didn't add much to the story. There were many F words, so this is definitely not a show for kids even though most of the material focuses on getting immersed in a game.
