This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.
... View MoreThe film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.
... View Morean ambitious but ultimately ineffective debut endeavor.
... View MoreThe movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.
... View MoreThere are a myriad of things annoy me about this series. Perhaps only little things, but put together... i just don't want to watch it. And i'm a big fan of Indian cuisine and cooking shows.1) Anjum Anand seems really pretentious. She is styled like she is going to some supercool party... a _lot_ of make-up, her hair is floating all over the place. I mean... you are cooking for gods sake.2) It often seems like she is not really knowing what she's doing. She goes to some chef and gets a tandoori oven explained to her. "This is an opportunity to observe a real master at work." Well.. why do you host the show then? You just don't get the feeling that she knows all this stuff by heart.3) She wants to make Strawberry lassi, "a traditional Indian drink" She then goes on to tell the viewer that normally it is done with buttermilk. But buttermilk is hard to get. And so she is doing it with yoghurt. So i watch a show about Indian cooking to tell me how to do a strawberry yoghurt? I mean...4) She has a minute long clip about Indian spices. So she explains that Garam Masala is part of the 5 spices which are the basis of many Indian dishes. But she doesn't explain what Garam Masala is, only that it is a mixture of many spices. And it goes on and on like that.
