... View MoreThis was on the Sundance Channel after the film festival coverage program they've been running every night, and I figured I'd watch a little bit of it anyway, to see if it was any good. I wound up watching the whole thing, much to my pleasure. This episode featured Michael Stipe and Mario Batali, and it turned out to be a revealing look at Stipe, in particular: we see him living his life as a 'normal' person, in many different situations, and he comes off splendidly caring, thoughtful and human. My favorite line of his was when Mario asked him what the difference was between his on-stage persona and his off-stage life: "I don't know who I am up there," he said. That made sense to me.
